While investigating the terrifying Shard of Fear, I found a pair of Gnomish goggles that allow me to see and speak with the tortured souls of adventurers that are trapped in the shard, as well as a journal written by the deceased gnomish inventor.

Ernie Gimblelock saw some sort of ritual sacrifice being performed by the lizardmen on the dais at the Amygdalan wells.
