I spoke to Deputy Huckfar. He's very worried about his hounds. He thinks the river water is being poisoned and he asked me to go speak with the deputies at the wall near the river to see if they have seen anything suspicious. Personally, I think the deputies spend too much time stuck at their posts to see anything. My guess is that if there's anything peculiar happening, it's at the Midwater Bridge.
Stage 1
Deputy Huckfar asked me to check with deputies stationed along the Lazy Drain and to carefully inspect the Midwater Bridge for signs of tampering.
Start: | I must speak with Deputy Guzzlesea at the eastern end of the Wall. |
---|
Complete: | I spoke with Deputy Guzzlesea. |
---|
Start: | Carefully inspect the Midwater Bridge spanning the Lazy Drain. I wouldn't be surprised to find the Runnyeye scouts have been tampering with it since it's furthest from any deputy's prying eyes. |
---|
Complete: | Encountered a Runnyeye scout at Midwater Bridge and took care of it. |
---|
Start: | I should speak with Deputy Jumbelly near the western opening of the Wall. |
---|
Complete: | I spoke with Deputy Jumbelly. |
---|
Start: | Report back to Deputy Huckfar in the Enchanted Lands. |
---|
Complete: | I spoke with Deputy Huckfar. |

After doing the legwork for the deputies, I am pretty sure that it's not the water. The reports from Deputy Guzzlesea and Deputy Jumbelly indicate there is nothing in the river water that could be causing the trouble with Deputy Huckfar's hounds. I did come across a Runnyeye scout who might have been up to no good. Still, the Runneyes are always up to no good and there was no conclusive evidence that the water's causing the trouble.
