There's a lodge right where qeynos highway forks to north and south qeynos gate....he's upstairs. So, if you just follow qeynos highway out from north or south qeynos gate, you will come to it. :)

I did this with 29 bezerker, and 23 Wizard... for one, I ended with choosing "...the site was destroyed"; The other one I chose "they probably just dropped it." Both ended the thread right there.

Tanen Danos (The Bowyer) can be found in the cabin, otherwise known as Frontier Farm.

Just for clarification of the merchant location, Merchant Tanen Danos is at the cabin in the middle of Antonica where the mender is right at the top of the stairs.

Loc = 10 meters away from Main Entrance to TS from Antonica.
Hail him and he updates.
Either he is fixed or you guys looking Jacques in Antonica. Be he is in TS (says so in journal)

I tried the other option which went something like "yeah I probably just dropped it" and it finished the conversation too. No further quest given.

When you return to Tanen Danos (he is at the intersection of highways to North/South Qeynos), the dialogue with Tanen is a bit odd. It seems to dead end - the dialogue seems like it could progress to a new task. I wasn't sure if the quest would continue or not. I chose the response "I don't know, the site looked pretty destroyed..." and he stopped talking to me. I wasn't able to start another conversation with him. Maybe the quest will progress further if you choose the other dialogue option... or maybe not.

He asks you to obtain some information about Clan McMarrin. The clan set out on an expedition some time ago and has not returned. He believes you can find clues in the Thundering Steppes.
The spot you need to visit is the graveyard on the coast ( 1389, -0.6, -92 ). This area is surrounded by skeletons. Visit it and return to him for coin and experience.

I met a barbarian named Tanen Danos who spoke of an old clan of Halas called Clan McMarrin. He mentioned that the clan set out on an expedition to find a land of their own following the Shattering. No word has been heard of them since their departure.
I found a journal amidst the wreckage of a settlement while exploring the Thundering Steppes.
I sold the journal to Tanen Danos.I found a journal of Clan McMarrian at a destroyed site in the Thundering Steppes. I sold the journal to Tanen Danos as he was eager to learn the fate of the clan. I don't think there is much hope for the clan considering the mess I found.
