The Wanderer's Three Meanings of Life  

For this quest people have been giving the wrong location for the last stand. The last stands location is similar but the placement of the third location is diffrent. Instead of -360, 761, Its supposed to be -360, 0, 761. It makes a big diffrence to where you go.

The level of this quest needs to be updated, I did it at 26 and it was still yellow to me. It shows as level 28 in the quest journal. Also as for the plains serpents, I was able to find a few of them near the south bandit camp along with the elder hawks.

Donilla thats because there is a specific snake in the TS named the Plains Serpent...Its always found groupped with 2 other snakes.

Easiest way to find Irresistible Sirens is to fly to Coldwind Station (near South Bandit Camp) and then go west until you reach position 1190,1110.
You find them in that bay in the sea.

The location for The Shrine of Decay is 356.87, 5.30, 1188.39

I've been to the Wandering Augur a few times already and he still won't offer me this quest.
Did it before with another character long time ago, no problems but this time I can't recieve the quest.
Am a lvl 21 Troubadour and have tried talking to questgiver both at lvl 20 and lvl 21. Anyone know what my problem would be?

I just got to the last step of this quest, and he wants me to go to the Shrine of Decay. Is this the same as the Cove of Decay? Anyone else that had to go here?

For my first step I was asked to kill 3 Plains Serpents
These are uncommon spawn on the north part of the map and will be accompanied by 2 plains snakes.

For my 3rd step I was asked to Visit the Shrine of Decay. (380, 0 1214) is where I got my update but from that position you cant miss seeing the shrine.

So it appears that a few more random choices may of been added to make this quest more unique for each player.

People have complained about the scarcity of elder hawks, and how you must kill mature hawks to spawn the elder ones.
I've found just the opposite- don't kill the mature ones and they will turn into elder hawks. I haven't seen it happen, but the elder ones pop up once there are 4 or 5 mature ones in the area.
I spent a long time killing with no results, when I changed tactics I got the 3 of them with little effort- just check the hawk cluster every hour or two. I've seen all mine at the north end of Griff fields, just a little south of the graveyard.
So the meaning of life is that you don't always need to kill everything in sight!

This is a great quest and the ratings are completely inaccurate in my opinion. The quest reward is a choice of 5 different lvl 27 required jewelry items (Necklace, Ring, Bracelet, Earring, and Belt). Depending on your character class, each item will be useful and is better than any other item at this level, except heritage quest items.

In regards to the quest itself. There are 3 different starting scenarios, Carrion Gorgers (valley near pirates cove), Elder Hawks (Giants area), or Plains Serpants (tower2). None of these are rare spawns and can be found wandering around. The second phase is just as random with Irresistible Sirens (Giants area off beach), Large Shore Crabs (griffon beach), and Mature Antelope (Giants area solo and Tower2 grpd) as possibilities. The third step is to investigate the Coldwind Shores Cemetary. I apologize for not know the exact coordinates.

It's 3 Eldar Hawks, not 3 carrion gorgers. The hawks sometimes spawn on the west beach and also sometimes at the south bandit camp.

When I did this quest, my first task was to kill 3 elder hawks, so this part may be random as to what to kill. Found the hawks near the soouth bandit (centaur) camp next to Coldwind Cove.

The sirens can be found among some sunken trees to the west of the rumbler caverns and area where the giant Obsid wanders.

The third step of this quest for me was visiting the location, The Last Stand. This is a small burial area along the southwestern edge of the large crater outside the Ruins of Varsoon.
