It seems that the locals had found a second piece of the clockwork but it was stolen by a group of troll pirates from near the Obelisk of Ahkzul. The lizardmen would be willing to allow me to examine the clockwork if I am able to bring back this item for them, as they consider it a part of their holy gift.

Stage 1

I need to pursue the missing piece of the clockwork in order to earn the regard of the lizardfolk and hopefully get a chance to examine it.

Start:	I should look for the missing clockwork piece among the Brokenskull around the Obelisk of Ahkzul.
Complete:	I managed to find the missing clockwork piece among the Brokenskull.

Start:	I should repair the broken clockwork and then speak with it about what it witnessed.
Complete:	I have spoken with the clockwork... and learned a number of interesting things.

Start:	I should take a look at this 'Obelisk' the Brokenskull seem to be flocking toward in the mountains of the Moors of Ykesha.
Complete:	I have inspected this monument and found that it seems to be a focus of void energies. It also seems to be a gateway of some kind, as a troll entered it, and then vanished.

Start:	I need to touch base with Professor Fondfate regarding what I have learned here.
Complete:	I have touched base with Professor Fondfate.

Having discovered that the Shade Monument nearby is in fact a void anchor, Fondfate and I have decided I should go in and investigate it.

Stage 2

It appears that the Shade Monument nearby is in fact a void anchor. I should enter it and investigate what is going on there.

Start:	I should seek out what I can within the Void Pit.
Complete:	I have managed to find the Staff of Theer. The same staff used by the Ethernauts!

I managed to find the fabled Staff of Theer used by the Ethernauts.

Stage 3

I should return to Professor Fondfate and let him know I have found the Staff of Theer and destroyed a void anchor.

Start:	I need to speak with Professor Fondfate at Dropship Landing Zone.
Complete:	I have spoken with Professor Fondfate at Dropship.

I have returned to Professor Fondfate.

I managed to learn from the clockwork that the Shade Monument was in fact a void anchor, and having learned that, I entered the void and destroyed its tie to Norrath. Professor Fondfate and I are now going to move on to find the other party of Scholars of the Lost.

Look for the missing clockwork piece among the Brokenskull around the Obelisk of Ahkzul ( 966.79, 515.09, 1851.26 ) .

The Clockwork Transmission Regulator drops in a chest from a Brokenskull officer. You may have to kill a few officers to get the drop. It dropped for me on an officer that was in the same encounter as a wandering deckhand.
Go to 1146, 392, 864 and talk to Z-bot XGO for your update.
He tells you about the Brokenskulls and their connection with the Void artifact, the Obelisk of Ahkzul

I should take a look at this 'Obelisk' the Brokenskull seem to be flocking to in the mountains fo the Morrs of Ykesha.

Visit the Obelisk of Ahkzul, 966.79, 515.09, 1851.26 The quest will update after a moment.

Return to Professor Fondfate to report your observations.
I should seek out what I can within the Void Pit.
