If you cannot find any murkbloom watchers around the lake, you simply must start killing things until they spawn. But, they do spawn anytime around the lake as long as you start killing things.

The quest name is actually "Reagents for Mathra" (reagents is plural).

This is the 9th quest in the Militia Quest Line in Nektulos Forest. Once you found Mathra samples, she'll offer you another task for her: gather components for a spell.

collect some heartwood - 5 updates from Blacktimber Treants around N'Mar's Ascent top or around Bone Lake.
hunt some Murkbloom watchers for fungal spores (5 updates) around Bone Lake
return to Mathra at the Bone Lake encampment to get your rewards.

I have offered to assist Mathra, a druid member of the Dismal Rage, in her studies and attempts to commune with the Nektulos Forest.

Stage 1

I have been asked to help Mathra by obtaining ingredients for a spell so that she can speak with Nektulos' collective consciousness.

Start:	I must hunt some murkbloom watchers for their fungal spores
Complete:	I have collected enough murkbloom spores for Mathra

I have the necessary fungal spores and blacktimber heartwood that Mathra asked for.

Stage 2

I must return to Mathra at the Bone Lake encampment.

Start:	I must return to Mathra.
Complete:	I have brought the components to Mathra.

Mathra has spoken with Nektulos, and felt the hate it holds!

Mathra was very thankful for all of the assistance that I was able to give her. She rewarded me before she ran back to Freeport to report on her findings with the Nektulos forest.
