Even though you can mine the eventide nodes at 90, I didnt get the Sapphire till I hit 140 mining. Either it is very rare or it may be easier the higher your mining is. I got several rares before I finally got the quest update.
While trying to get the black sapphire i only got update messages from the Eventide Stone nodes.

The coordinates given for the poison vial is inaccurate, i found the poison at the bottom of N'Mar but the loc given is not where i found the poison vial. the waypoint now is: -414.65, 0.71, -1273.77

The poison is now found at -678.74, 4.78, -240.30 -- it's at the bottom of the huge ramp.

I only got the dockhands, marauders, seers, and bandits to work for the last step but they are plentiful and it didn't take long. Note that the pirates, Captains, vandals did not work; did not try scoundrels.

Actually, all BUT the pirates, and the pirate captains count for the last leg of this quest.

To help clarify on the dock hnads as it seems to have changed since the last post about it.
At each camp on the beach that is a circle of tents (3 of them) there are single mobs that are now single down arrow also. These mobs are always alone.
They consist it seems of either a Nerius marauder, bandit, seer and possibly foreman. I kill them any way as they fit the pattern.
These mobs are part of a "place holder group" for the dock hands. When respawning these mobs, one of the listed, including dock hands will spawn.
I have not paid attention to them but some times you get a group of two mobs that are double down arrows. I suspect they might be part of the cycle but have not confired it. Since they are so easy I kill them anyway as I generaly have time waiting for eveything else to spawn.

I had vulriches and giant vulriches in the Commonlands work for Nerius pirates. I guess it's bugged, but at least it's a good bug.

dont use comma except only to separate coordinate coloumns. "-412.21, +6.17, -1,271.49" is incorrect, if u use copy-paste.

Regarding the Black Sapphire:
Either I am Super Lucky or this really isn't a Super Rare ... I got it on my 1st node.

I couldn't call this a 'super-rare' harvest either; I found it on my 18th node, and long before I found any true rare or even uncommon (sparkling stone) harvests.
Some may get lucky and find it faster, some less lucky and find it later, but it's by no means 'super-rare'. Just keep at harvesting the eventide stones - it'll update.

The step right after killing the dockhands is for a black sapphire.
"Now's your chance to get that Black Sapphire they took from me. They hid it in one of those rare havestable stones around the forest."

Nerius Dockhands are part of a spawn cycle with the non arrow spawns at the camps - marauders, seers and bandits.
The part of harvesting a rough diamond in the Nektulos Forest is not a super rare harvest - but it may take some time. I got after about 5 nodes - only evertide stone works. Also as previous posts say treants and giants work... I tried killing shadowed men and they did not work tho.

Finallt finished this last night. Funny thing was I was killing treants and Giants and go credit for killing pirates hehehe. Oh well better to have it done I guess :)

Quest is now fixed, got black saphire after 25 or so stones, afterwards you have to kill 20 Nerius (any Nerius will do)

I wish to correct the coordinates for the vial of poison. The approximate coordinates are -412.21, 6.17, -1,271.49 and not (-410.03, +1.73, +1266.68) as stated by Crypt of Blackburrow. Please doubule check coordinates before submitting!

Mmmmm 6000 K harvest's 9 rares and no end to this quest in site. Its broke and has been for a long time. Don't hold your breath on this one :P

Well been looking for this item for 5 levels now on the good side I have found 6 rares in NeK but I think the quest is broke :(

It is not a diamond we need to find but a Black saphire. I have done aprox 1k forages on eveningtide stone with no quest hit, however I have found a rare jasper.

Further info from - http://eqiiforums.station.sony.com/eq2/board/message?board.id=quest&message.id=32264 - indicates that we are looking for a rough diamond.

It seems that since the last big patch you only recieve quest info updates on a success. It no longer tells you "You did not find ....etc" I have found this true on all othe quests. So the clickable rock theroy may be wrong.

I'm hung at the same point on this, I get no updates from any harvestable object.
I have yet to find any clickable object, but at 27th currently, I don't have aggro-free access to the zone.

You must log in or create an account to post messages.This is one of several quests given by Kleron Asana in Nektulos. You must complete all his other quests before he will give you this one.
- The first thing you must do is dig up a special vial of poison he hid near N'Marr's Ascent. This is at -414.65, 0.71, -1273.77 . Click the group of mushrooms behind Daria's tent
- After this you must gather 6 vials of stomach acid from the a Nerius crabs on the beach.
- The next order of business is to kill 3 a Nerius dockhands near the docks.
- You must then mix the poison and acid while visiting the path between the beach and Nektulos Forest, this is the small pass that you must go through to reach the docks from the rest of the zone. 649, 0, -307 . Just run along the path for the auto update
- The next step involves harvesting a black sapphire in the Nektulos Forest from Eventide Stone nodes. You'll need a mining skill of at least 90.
- The next step is to kill 10 "Nerius fools" in Nektulos. Any type of the pirates will do (dockhands, seers, marauders, etc) except the a Nerius Pirate Captain or the a Nerius Pirate

I've offered to help a bandit in the Nektulos Forest by the name of Kleron Asana. He's come into possession of several objects he found on a former victim. He's willing to trade them to me in exchange for me doing a little something for him.
I've been able to finish Kleron's list of tasks. I should return to him now.
I have spoken with Kleron Asana.I've finished the tasks Kleron wanted done. I've been given this ring in exchange for doing them. I'm surprised he kept his word.
