Thresh Bats are found in Commonlands, not far from the city gates.

Sergius Mordanticus wants me to cull the numbers of the bat swarms out in the Commonlands. Supposedly the bats are randomly attacking people.

Stage 1

Sergius Mordanticus wants me to slay a bunch of swarm bats out in the Commonlands.

Start:	I must kill ten bats in the Commonlands.
Complete:	I've killed the swarm of bats.

I have killed the bats in the Commonlands for Sergius Mordanticus.

I went to the Commonlands and killed ten of the swarm bats as requested by Sergius Mordanticus.

NPC no longer gives any quests just dialogue
Probably discontinued in the 2007 EQ2 redesign of starter quest areas

After going though dozens of quest listings, I'd be really glad to see all these old quests pulled off this site so I wouldn't have to run all over the city to see if the quest was still active.
