ok..first off lemme express how much my finger hurts now from tabbing the ocean floor. Tabbing is the key but seriously.. them bones are a real pain to find.. after reading here it took me approx. 15-20min and the bones are ONLY on the west side from the docks. I swam back and forth from the banks of Bitterwind Trench to the docks. Stealthed & with totem.
If ur lucky u will find 2-3 in close proximity of eachother and after u manage to collect 5-6 u should return to the first spots.. think the respawn is pretty quick, thankgod.

I found the ghost of a barbarian named Daelic Coldbrow. He told me how the Fanged Sea swallowed his boat and his crew. He needs help gathering his bones in the depths of Everfrost to see if it will release him from his icy eternity.
Along with the bones I was collecting, I found a journal of one of Daelic's crew members. It spoke of how he was hiding in a barrel after the captain went crazy and began killing the other members of the crew. The bones weren't Daelic's after all; they were the bones of his crew.
Daelic confessed to killing his crew, and to make amends he told me how to release their souls. I need to bury their bones under a huge root that protrudes from the snow in Everfrost.
I buried the bones under the giant root, and it turns out it was also where Daelic had buried his treasure. I unearthed the treasure as a reward for my hard work.After revealing that Daelic murdered his crew and is cursed for eternity, Daelic told me of a way to at least release the souls of his crew members and make his amends. Daelic told me to bury their bones under the giant root protruding from the snow in Everfrost, and when I did, I discovered it was also where his buried treasure lay hidden.
Stage 1

This quest is given by Daelic Coldbrow at -420, -21.3, +37.58 .
You must gather his bones from the shark-infested oceans of Everfrost. These are ground spawn in the ocean. It's unknown if these are static or random spawn locations, but here's some where they've been found:

After obtaining 15 return to Daelic. He will then ask you to bury the bones at the World Tree Root. This is in the middle of the Numbfoot area in Everfrost near -650, -15, -305 .

Not a bad quest if have some sort of hide, 49 ranger (quest Blue) with Hadden's Earring did it in about 30 to 45 min. They seem to be in the NW area of map from the yellow island arrow. Or 10 to 12 o'clock from the island zone in

Search the area northwest of docks.. specifically in and around the 3 small islands there, make circles cycling TAB, you will find them in short order.

Found some at 119, -56, 12; 139, -60, 99; 128, -56, 100; and 65, -54, -41. The 'bone node' seemed to respawn around those main areas. Lots of swimming around in circles.

Another location for the bones is 144.40, -51.73, 92.12 where you will find 5 of the elusive blighters!
One other remark: I was unpleasantly surprised to be met by the "Seraph of the Stags" (47^^^ Epicx2) upon approaching the Tree... Beware!

I can confirm that you can find 15 of Daelics' bones at the very bottom of the ocean directly north of the dock to the wall and all of the west area, that bit of lake. most bones i found right on the ocean floor in the deepest part. the Ancient frostfins will attack you on sight so if you are a cleric like me, be ready. I found all 15 bones in about 45 minutes worth of swimming at 730pm EST on Monday Dec. 26th 2005

This quest sucks. I found 9 bones using the locations mentioned here, now I've been swimming around (back and forth to the different areas) for almost 30 mins and nothing. I hope this isn't a typical EQ2 quest that takes hours to complete for like 1% xp and a no-trade item...

The entire quest is pretty easy and soloable. You'll need Enduring Breath, a Fishbone Earring, or some crafted Totem of the Otter items.
To gather the bones, you have to swim to the bottom of the ocean around the docks and harvest them from nodes with some obvious name.
The spawns seem to be semi-random but there are a couple of good places to get them. 141, -52, 90 had at least 4 nodes. And, around 69, -53, -26 there was also a few spawns.
You will need stealth or simply be careful to avoid the sharks.
After harvesting 15 bones, return to Daelic. He will fess up that he was the one who killed his shipmates and requests that you bury their bones for him.
The location you must go to is a large root titled World Tree Root on the map. Its location is northeast of Daelic himself. To get there, simply head towards Permafrost. In the valley with the big purple rumbler mobs, instead of going through the cave towards Permafrost, head to the eastern part of the valley.
You will need stealth, or sprint directly next to the large root for the final update.
The reward is a selection of some decent items plus 4g 6s.
The reward I chose is:

+4agi +7str +17health +23power
Dual Wield
Base Damage: 8-23
Delay: 1.4s

Search for 15 bones on sea floor near the docks area. Takes some time and is easy if 47+ because no sharks will aggro. After collecting bones go to daelic and he will tell you to bury the bones at a great root. This is the World Tree Root on the map. Just get near the root and you will receive your reward. Reward is 5gp, EXPS, and a selections of 4 items A totem, 2h axe, 1h wand and I forget what 4th item was.
