Averus, Part IV

Couldn't get the Essences to spawn in the Burial Pit. It's full of Shin'Ree Spirits now - maybe this quest was broken because of the recent changes to the Wailing Caves...?

I got 58 Silver and 5% exp for Part 4 as a level 19 bard. Not bad at all!

Either they've updated the rewards or something else changed. At level 18 I got 20s for step 3 and 50s for step 4, it is quite worthwhile at that point, since most of the mobs are grey. I also got 2 Adept 1 drops during the course of my slaying.

I would not call the reward Disappointing. 18s + 4% exp at level 18 is worth it. You're gonna be in the caves anyway, so don't turn down this quest series.

I did all 4 parts last night; the first segment gave around 70-80 copper then the next 2 parts nothing. The pay off is after completing part 4 which pays 20 silver.

Essences of Shin'Ree are also found at the bottom of the Pit of Death, which does not require you to get the key for the painting. On the way down the spiral ramp, simply continue to the bottom rather than turning left into the tunnel.

This is the fourth and final quest from Averus Justarius in West Freeport.

This time aronud he asks you to collect 5 Ectoplasmic Cores from Essences of Shin'Ree in Wailing Caves. They are found in the pit down past the locked painting.

Return to him with the Ectoplasmic Cores for coin and experience.
