There are 2 ways to get to the hammer. One is via the spider ledge as describe before. The other is in the room where the last wall you blow up leads to the door to splitpaw. Cross the chasm by the undead gnolls, using planks and boxes. On the other side is an explodeable wall. The barrel will not go up against the wall, but get it close as you can an it will still take the wall down.

I just completed this on Venekor.

Or you can just do it the easy way and grab a second board from elsewhere in the zone (there are a few of them over near the last explodable wall near the lower tunnel zone) and add it to the end of the first board and stroll across without having to jump at all.

The container can be found in the room past the second explodable wall. It's near the campfire to the right.

After taking a flying leap to my death, I decided to try out something else. Carry the barrel to the very end of the plank and set it down across the chasm on the other side. Then, do the run and jump without it. Just be ready to keep running so you slide around the waiting barrel and not just bounce off and fall.

In order to pulverize the mushrooms, you have to examine the hammer in the Carpenter room. To get here, turn left as soon as you zone in. Go all the way into the mushroom room and grab the plank up on the ledge in here. Carry it back to the first chasm room and use it to jump over the chasm to the ledge with the spiders. You'll need to get a barrel in the zone and jump over with it to destroy the wall (careful, the jump can be tricky in 1st person when you've moving objects). Blow up the wall and go into the next room with the gnolls. This is the carpenter room. Look around the floor near one of the tents and you'll see a small hammer. Right click to examine, and you finish the quest! The reward is a luminous bottle which can go in your activatible slot and gives off a very bright light.

The hammer can be found in the room with the Carpenters (just past the roomwith entrance to lower Caves). It's lying on the ground to your left as you enter the cave (near the campfire).

The hammer you need is in the camp filled with heroic-type gnolls in the Upper Tunnels at -29,-12,-140. You reach the camp by laying 2 planks across the crevice near the entrance from the Steppes and then detonating a barrel past couple spiders. Reward for the quest is xp and Luminous Bottle. The Luminous Bottle is an activate slot lightsource that gives off a subdued greenish light.

Oh yeah the reward is an activate slot item which seems to just basically be a light source (no colors - just standard light)

You must log in or create an account to post messages.This quest is initiated by examining a mushroom at +69, +5.64, -88.55 in the Zygomyd area of Sundered Splitpaw: Upper Tunnels.
The first order of business is to pick four mushrooms nearby. These are right nearby, where the Zygomyd Cultivators spawn. You don't have to wait for these to spawn, just examine all four of them.
After this you must find a container to put the mushrooms in. You can do this by examining a gnollish chest at -1.36, -3.55, -182.91 in the Upper Tunnels.
You must now find a fire to dry the mushrooms. This is found behind a breakable wall (detonate the barrels to blow it up) in the Upper Tunnels at -97.49, -9.38, -162.23 .
You must then a hammer to pulverize the mushrooms into a fine powder. This is located at -30.28, -12.02, -139.83 in the Upper Tunnels. This is near the zone in to Thundering Steppes. You need to grab the plank from the Zygomod area and then use it to cross over the large hole there. You will then need to drag a barrel over to blow a hole in the wall to reach the hammer. It is in a camp of heroic gnolls.
The reward is a Luminous Bottle which can fit into your activatable slot and act as a bright light source.

I found some glowing mushrooms that would make for a nice light source. I should gather some more and find a way to keep them contained safely.
