I just did this quest today and the locations it asked me for in step one did not match the ones in the walk through. The locations I was asked to find in the citadel were as follows:

Torture Chamber
and Shrine to Rallos Zek

I wonder why there is no info on this subject here, anyway:
1. Orcish Shattered Lands Book - 10.77, 16.00, 41.45
It's the same bookshelf which you need for "The Orc Runner Trinkets".
2nd floor, western lift.
2. Runes of Jaggedpine - 6.57, -25.00, 16.89
It's in the bircage inside the vault which is on the floor where arena tribune is.
3. Tome of Blood Iron Smelting - -22.72, 0.12, 23.34
It's in the small hut in the citadel's courtyard, eastern part.
It's forge. The tome is in the small chest on a wooden box.

The vault is the room with the goblin in it. The door does not open until you kill the emporer.

birdcage up on some chests in bank just to right side of the door when you enter. (side room off foyer to the observation level of the arena) no goblin in it, just an orc banker waypoint 6.90, -25.00, 16.92 not sure if it only opens after fyst is killed i had to come back to finish quests after i had killed him :) Not sure if this is called the Vault but it's on the observation level not the arena floor level.

I am a 54 Monk, I soloed Emperor Fyst last night. Fyst was grey to me and was 41^^^ Epic x2 mob. I tried 3 times to kill him, 2 times I feign Death. The 3rd time was a charm, all I used the whole fight was Outward Calm ( adept 1 ) and Heal ( adept ). I would use Outward clam which protects for 3720 points of damage with a 1 minute 30 second timer and Heal that does upto 26% max health on a 3minute timer. In order to get the Book of Jaggedpine you NEED to kill Fyst which unlocks the vault door to the bird cage that has the book.

Correction to the previous post by Zelduh. The Armory doe NOT have to be after you have killed Fyst.
I know this for a fact because i was advancing the HQ 'The rescue of the Greenhoods' solo as a 60 conjuror and followed those HQ instructions from this site and at a certain point before i needed Fyst, the Armory door was open across from the Harem.
I can't tell you what triggered it, but it became open. I was dusting off all of the named in all areas as stated from the HQ named above BEFORE Fyst.

Armory is AFTER you've killed fyst. Enter the room where the goblin is right up the stairs from the ring to get update for Vault.
Check birdcage in vault for first book, then go to elevator up 2 flights and bookcase on the right will have 2nd book, last book is next to forge where blacksmith was on ground floor.

The NPC's name IS Grassblade. He is in one of the jail cells that you can open after killing Jailer Norx.
Armory is room right across hallway from the harem room.

The smelting iron book is not in the armory. It's in a chest in the blacksmith house which is next door to the butcher

I have this quest, but mine says to find various books in the DFC. I found one in the armory in a box on the wall, I found one in a book shelf in the room above the named lion, and i can not find the last one that asked for the runes of jaggedpine. Any help on the location of the runes please post.

The gatehouse is the room that controls the opening and closing of the gates. It is on top of the wall that runs the perimeter of DFC.

- You must locate four areas in the Deathfist Citadel (this could vary):
- Deathfist Harem, Deathfist Armory (across hallway from harem), Deathfist Vault, Deathfist Gatehouse (room that controls the gates, on top of wall that runs the perimeter of the zone), -OR-
- Blood Bath Arena, Grand Alchemist's Study, Torture Chamber, and Shrine to Rallos Zek
- After this you are asked to find three books in the Deathfist Citadel they are:

I have been asked by an undercover Green Hood scout named Grassblade to complete the tasks of his fallen comrade. These objectives are all within Deathfist Citadel.
I mapped the locations of interest inside Deathfist Citadel.
I found the items within Deathfist Citadel.
I reported to the Glademaster in Zek.I completed all the objectives in Deathfist Citadel of the fallen Green Hood. I then reported to the Glademaster.
