I would also like to add that the dog will lead you under every single void shriller on that path, so be careful. Thankfully the dog will wait for you as you fight them.

After "A Deputy Dog", you get a quest called "Trainers Woes" from Deputy Huckfar. The quest has you talk to various Deputies along the wall:

Deputy Guzzlesea at the easternmost opening. Deputy Guzzlesea sends you to the Midwater bridge where a Runnyeye scout spawns. After killing the scout you must go to Deputy Jumbelly who is on the other side of the wall to the west (253.8, -2.04, -363.60). After that you report back to Huckfar. This ends the quest. (Money and xp, like the others, not much...average) The next quest is called "It's not the water".

The next quest after "It's not the water" is called "A Thousand Words" given by Deputy Huckfar. He has you:
a) Collect 10 Bear pelts
b) Collect Three Goblin Blood
c) Collect River Water (just walk into the river)
Then you return to Deputy Huckfar, talk to him a twice and he sends you back to Deputy Nettlebrine (by the docks)The reward includes a nice pair of pantaloons. The following Quest comes from Deputy Nettlebrine and is called "Plan the Fundraiser"
