When the collection is complete, you can turn it in to any Collector NPC for your reward and a very nice chunk of experience.

For a brief time, the Burynai Digger House Pet, available to those that pre-ordered Rise of Kunark, was giving out collection items for collection quests that never got completely added. Some Badger Collections have been re-introduced in game, and this is one of them.
