Mastertronic Announces The Weaponographist
The Weaponographist is a high-speed, dangerous dungeon crawler.
Indie developer Puuba and British publisher Mastertronic have announced that they are joining forces once again to create The Weaponographist. The new dungeon crawler is slated for a Summer 2015 release on the PC and Mac.
The Weaponographist is a high-speed, dangerous dungeon-crawler starring Doug McGrave; famous demon hunting bad boy for hire. Highest level, bestest gear, ruggedly handsome, and unrepentant jerk. For refusing to help a poor town plagued by demons, you are immediately- and deservedly- cursed. Your powers, your wealth, and your weapons – all gone! To overcome the curse, you’ll need to clear out the dungeon using whatever weapons you can find. Fighting your way through, you are forced to use the weapons and spells dropped by enemies, as they fall apart in your hands.
Fill up your combo meter by defeating the hordes, vanquish demons to regain your strength and weaken the curse while you can. But beware! When you are not attacking, your combo will quickly drain away and the curse will continue to take its toll. Only by killing monsters swiftly, adapting to new weapons and slowly removing the curse can Doug make his way to the depths of the dungeon and face the final boss.
There will be no rest for the wicked!
Danny Garfield, Founder of Puuba says: “Swords! Machine Guns! Whips! Pogo-Sticks! Hammers! Poo Gas! The Heads of the Dead! We clearly like games with a lot going on. A veritable circus of creatures to slay!”
Stuart Morton, Producer, Mastertronic, adds: “After the incredible gaming mash-up of genres that was Concursion, we are delighted to be working with Puuba again on their new project, The Weaponographist. The dungeon crawler genre is up next to get the distinctive Puuba flavor and I for one can’t wait to get monster slaying.”
Doug McGrave, Demon-Hunter-for-hire, declares: “Do I look like I am a not-for-profit organization? I’ve made my millions fighting the biggest battles with the deadliest demons, but give me a break! A hero’s life doesn’t pay for itself. Charity is for the weak and I deserve a day off!”
