ArcheAge: Launch Update #2
Amid a rough launch with long lines, Trion Worlds is looking to right the ship.
ArcheAge, the new MMO published by Trion Worlds, is already one week past launch. The big story? Queue times. From 40 minutes to 4 hours, thousands were stuck in wait-screen limbo.
Trion has sprung into action to address the issue. Here's the latest:
Servers
- Three new North American servers: Ezi, Lucious, and Calleil
- Queue times have improved
- Europe's hardware is in Customs, but will be coming soon
- They're flushing out AFK players, and have banned ~10k bots/frauds
- Working on a fix for indefinite spot holding
- North American servers "poked at by a handful of DDOSes"; service not affected
Patron Bonuses
- More bonus time was given to more people over the weekend
- An additional bonus Founder's Pack was given to all founders
- They want to make sure "everyone's made good for their troubles during this launch"
Customer Service
- Capacity has been ramped-up; wait times are "two-thirds faster than ... last week"
