BlizzCon 2013 Round-Up!

BlizzCon 2013 is over and this year’s event will be remembered for many reasons. Not only did Blizzard announce details of the next World of Warcraft expansion, Warlords of Draenor, but information was also released on future plans for the immensely popular Hearthstone, due to go into open beta next month.

Garrisons to Come to World of Warcraft

Blizzard surprised World of Warcraft players this BlizzCon with an announcement that Garrisons would be coming to the game in Warlords of Draenor. Player housing is something WoW players have been asking for, for almost as long as we've been begging for improvements to the inventory system, and I am pleased to announce that this is also something Blizzard came through with.

Hearthstone Turning Heads After BlizzCon

Blizzcon 2013 had new titles in store this year and a new addition into the Warcraft realm asks players to toss aside their cannons, catapults, cat o'nine tails, cleavers, clubs, crossbows, cudgels, cutlasses and whatever other weapons that begin with a "C" in favor of a different kind of weapon. BlizzCon has officially come to a close and over the course of the weekend there were a hefty amount of reveals for Diablo III: Reaper of Souls. The base game was met with critical acclaim, but the games flaws soon became apparent to all that those that played the game. The auction house, the itemization, the difficulty, the loot grind--it all felt half-baked to many gamers.

World Championship Series Global Finals

The WCS World Finals of StarCraft II kicked off on Friday, November 8. After three seasons of regional qualifiers and world championships, the top 16 players of the year will face off in what is possibly the hardest StarCraft II tournament of all time. The finals are at BlizzCon, Blizzard Entertainment's massive annual convention. The winner will take home a grand prize of $100,000 and a huge trophy.

Heroes of the Storm Developer Interview Video

With Blizzard's showing of Heroes of the Storm at BlizzCon also comes a developer interview video released by the creators of the game. Only one place can hold heroes and villains of this caliber. Enter the Nexus!

World of Warcraft Expansion: Warlords of Draenor

Blizzard has done it once again. Earlier this afternoon, Blizzard revealed the latest World of Warcraft expansion Warlords of Draenor for the crowds at BlizzCon. The new expansion raises the level cap to 100 and seeks to send players on a journey through the homelands of both Orcs and Draenei. This should be an excellent buffer against slowly-declining subscription numbers and will likely be more well-received than Mists of Pandaria.
