I get what they're trying for with the flaming skull for the show. It's part flaming skull of the original Ghost Rider and part flaming racing helmet of Robbie Reyes' version, but if the poster is any indication, at least to me, it looks more like Doom baddies and looks too "cartoony." Maybe it'll look better in-show.
Jackie Earle Haley cast in James Cameron's live action adaptation of Alita: Battle Angel as alledgedly a "cyborg villain", so shouldn't be long before Twitter loses it's collective shit over it. Margot Robbie will be executive producing the Suicide Squad spinoff based on her Harley Quinn, because sure why not. Nothing to really do with this thread, but Super Troopers 2 is not only a thing, but Rob Lowe will be in it making it that much more awesome. His character is, according to Deadline, Guy Le Franc, a mayor of a Quebec border town.
CBS's new Star Trek series, Star Trek: Discovery, is being pushed back from a January premiere to May. They say the delays is due to issues with quality. "We aim to dream big and deliver, and that means making sure the demands of physical and post-production for a show that takes place entirely in space, and the need to meet an air date, don't result in compromised quality," according to executive producers Alex Kurtzman and Bryan Fuller.
WB to release the Constantine Blu-Ray, the one with Matt Ryan, on October 4th. I still miss the show.

Todd McFarlene, known to most as the guy whose name is on all those awesome looking but fragile as all hell action figures, says that his next attempt at bringing Spawn to the big screen will "And it's not gonna be a continuation, it's not gonna be a sequel, it's not gonna be any of that. That was one hundred fifty percent certainly Man-Bat Comish-to-Be Gordon hung out the window, but I'm on the fence with the guy that got slammed by the truck at the start of the episode. Either Croc or Doomsday. Either way, pretty good start for this season's Gotham. Lucifer on the other hand I felt my attention waxing and waning, though the end was certainly amusing. Gotham was pretty good. I thought Emo-Bruce looked a lot like Carl. Was getting ready for some "God damn it, Carl" moments. I expected Ivy's scene to be a catalyst to her using some plants to stop the Aging-Man and make Fish see her power and not want to kill her. Instead I guess they will push that out a bit further. Probably still triggered by this seemingly deadly fall into a rushing sewer line.

I'm kind of pissed that they did the season premiere and are immediately following it up with a week off. They should have just waited a couple more weeks and avoided having the gap.
I'm pretty sure the only show that's on hiatus next week is Lucifer due to the Presidential game of The Dozens Debates.

Gerry has written Ghost Rider in the past, but more notably Jeph introduced him as "the creator of the Punisher," and reportedly followed it up by saying "You will understand why I brought all these people here later in the season, and why it makes sense." So ... Ghost Rider versus Punisher later in the season? I don't even care if it turns out false, just the possibility is exciting to me.
Disney CEO Bob Igor said "I had a meeting yesterday with Kathy Kennedy and we mapped out — well, we reviewed — the ‘Star Wars’ plans that we have ’til 2020. We have movies in development for ‘Star Wars’ ’til then, and we started talking about what we’re going to do in 2021 and beyond," about Star Wars, and described Rogue One as "An experiment, of sorts." He also added "We had a similar meeting with Marvel a week-and-a-half ago to plot [those films] out, where we’ve got movies in either development or production — some nearing completion — through the end of this decade. Got around to watching the new Tick pilot. It was a lot darker than I expected, which made Tick's behavior that much more hilarious.

So I rewatched SHIELD, because I don't like things I know I should catch but don't. The director's name is Jeffrey, which leads me to believe that after a short google search, that there was a Jeffrey Mace that happened to be the third Captain America, near the end of WW2 while the original model was on ice and the second got stepped on by a giant robot. The episode also made a point of referring to him as basically a stand in for Steve Rogers. They wanted the "face of SHIELD" to be a hero, and this guy was in the books. He was a regular guy, but then again live action Steve can hold down a helicopter so I guess they need to up Jeff's power level as well.

Floating around, the initial reaction to Luke Cage seems to be that storywise it's better than Jessica Jones and Daredevil Season 2, but not quite Daredevil Season 1. Also not quite there with David Tenna and Jon Bernthal as far as characters. Work wifi doesn't quite support Netflix and I work this weekend so I'll probably check it out starting Sunday night. I'd watch a Portal movie, as long as it's actually Portal and not a prequel that leads to the events of the game.

West World on HBO was off to a good start. I just happened to flip through the channels here before going to bed and stumbled onto it as the first episode was airing (assume it was a repeat airing).
Will be back home on Wednesday hopefully. Not sure when CW starts it's shows up again. I think I saw some commercials for Supergirl starting next week. I won't be going to Japan next week, unfortunately. Bad part, not going, good part, I guess, I won't be missing out on TV shows.
Will be back home on Wednesday hopefully. Not sure when CW starts it's shows up again. I think I saw some commercials for Supergirl starting next week. I won't be going to Japan next week, unfortunately. Bad part, not going, good part, I guess, I won't be missing out on TV shows.

Came home to my dvr hanging itself by the cord, trying to commit suicide. Fear the Walking Dead was meh, but the season premiere of Ash vs The Evil Dead was spectacular on pretty much every level. One part creepy and two parts hilarious, with a copious amount of gore and splatter. Bruce Campbell at his finest. Then I finished my night with a few episodes of Luke Cage. Just four episodes in, and I must say I'm enjoying it immensely. It's definitely not action oriented, but the story and characters put it a notch above most shows. Also, the music is an absolute delight. Watching Westworld. Interesting, but what really caught my attention was the piano remix of Black Hole Sun and orchestral Paint It Black playing. It's been a very musical day for me. 
Trailer for the next Pirates of the Caribbean movie, Dead Men Tell No Tales, looks interesting enough with the spooky ghost zombie sea monster creatures, but after the last one I can't say I'm all that interested in seeing it. Javier Bardem does know how to chew a scene though, so that's not so bad.
The Doctor Who Christmas Special will co-star Justin Chatwin, who you may have gotten sick from his portrayal of Goku in Dragonball Evolution, as a yet to be named superhero. Good will towards men indeed. In better news, Tom Cavanagh will play yet another version of Harrison Wells. Good, since he's probably the best part of the show. Spider-Man: Homecoming and Justice League have both apparently wrapped filming, so now we play the waiting game. Thor: Ragnarok's director Taika Waititi shared a picture of Korg, the rock creature from the Planet Hulk storyline (and apparently Thor: Dark World), so he'll probably show up in the upcoming movie.
Mad Hatter tonight on Gotham, that should be something. Also, since it's hit four seasons Arrow has been syndicated, picked up by TNT and apparently they are marathoning it or they did marathon it over the weekend because there's like two dozen episodes on my dvr, but I guess it's a good way to be reminded of just went wrong, and the new season of misery starts Wednesday. Flash tomorrow, and no SHIELD because there needs to be a Vice President debate who really, no one gives two flips about.
Speaking of Agents of SHIELD, Jed Whedon and Maurissa Tancharoen both confirmed to Entertainment Weekly that Jason O'Mara's character is in fact Jeffrey Mace, the Patriot.

That was probably my favorite part. The story itself was enough to keep me hooked, but the choice in music there. I liked that. Similar to how in Bioshock Infinite they had a selection of songs played very differently.

Apparently yesterday was Wolverine: Logan Day, as more rumor reports were released. According to The Wrap, in the future where the movie takes place the birth rate of mutants has significantly declined, leading to a drop in the population of freaky eye lasers. Also in this future there is a government programmed called "Transigen," which is tasked with turning young mutants into weapons. Also Wolvy is older and his healing factor has taken a hit, to the point where allegedly sometimes they don't even work. Apparently the rest of the X-Men have disappeared for whatever reason, leaving Logan to take care of an unstable Xavier and a young girl with two retractable claws. X-23, minus the foot claw. Also she'll be helped out ocassionally by Caliban, played by Stephen Merchant. The Han Solo movie is rumored to have "tested" Creed's Tessa Thompson, Power Rangers' Naomi Scott, and Mad Max: Fury Road's Zoe Kravitz for roles. Presumably one of the roles is for Sana Starros/Solo, who in the new comics was once married to Han as a cover for a robbery which he later ran off with the loot.
Another set photo from Netflix' The Punisher reveals that Deborah Ann Woll's Karen will be showing up. Kind of makes sense, considering she and Frank had some rapport. The Punisher brings in Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Frank's on again and off again sidekick Micro, and Amber Rose Revah as made-for-Netflix character named Dinah Madani, who is a Homeland Security agent that is vexed by the Punisher. I guess Frank tries to get a pistol into an airplane? Also, turns out Ben Barnes isn't playing Bobby Saint as originally rumored, but Billy Russo, who was Frank's best friend during their time in Special Forces. Though that detail changed, Billy Russo does actually eventually become Jigsaw in the books so one step back two steps forward as far as I'm concerned.

New York Comic Con starts, so there should be a lot of news today and especially over the weekend. Probably Iron Fist and Justice League.

It took me awhile to finally figure out that that was Paint It Black. It was annoying me so much that I wasn't even really paying attention to the scene. I'm not fan of the Rolling Stones, so it's not something that I hear often, but it was so familiar that it was killing me.
Anyway, Westworld doesn't seem too terrible so far. I do find it more than a bit odd that they store the faulty robots instead of destroying or reprogramming them though. It doesn't seem to make much sense. They can apparently create and repair them easy enough, there doesn't seem to be any reason to keep them around. I'm really hoping that they won't go the obvious route and have them all activate and become an army of insane killbots.
Catching up on so many shows...
DVR messed for a few days last week. Instead of recording Flash, it said it did, but instead recorded an episode of Simpsons on FXX. Also missed episodes of Gotham and a few other things. Going to have to hunt them down.
Started watching Luke Cage. Half way through ep 4 now. Music works well, and I'm liking the character development.
Also, something about Sigorney Weaver playing a villain in the upcoming "Defenders" Netflix show.

Looks like Agent Carter is coming to the next season of Disney XD's Avengers show. To be voiced by Hayley Atwell. I've seen a few episodes of Disney's animated shows, but not many. Usually on the weekends if nothing is on in the morning and I happen to stop flipping channels around there. Maybe I should look them up and check them out. I think I saw earlier seasons on Netflix, and there was rumor that Disney wanted to buy Netflix, meaning it could be a big place for Marvel in the future.
