LoT, it was a heavy storyline episode, but was one of the better ones.
They weren't grossly incompetent and failing at every turn, they were just following the script. Just ... why didn't Snart just freeze the lever or his/Mick's hand to the lever? Gideon could just remake it easy. It's like the show is actively trying to forget he has a FREEZE GUN. Speaking of Captain Wentworth has been downgraded from series regular, and will be cameoing between shows now. Which is fine with me, I liked him better as a Flash villain.
ABC cuts Castle (never watched it), The Muppets (it was cute but I won't miss it), Galavant (I actually liked this one, damn it), Nashville and The Family (didn't even know these existed). Also of note that is more relevent to this thread Marvel's Most Wanted won't be a thing anymore, and Agent Carter won't get a third season in the immediate future.
In positive news, Dolph Lundgren name dropped Deadpool in an interview, when asked what superhero he'd be up to play he stated he'd kick butt as Cable.
And in "can't possibly be true" rumor news, Kinberg says that Fantastic Four 2, with the current cast, is still on the table. (Late Edit) In a move to stab Fox in the stomach and double the MCU's Human Torch count, Michael B Jordan has been cast into the Black Panther movie, in a possible villain role. I would guess Killmonger, as (a) MBJ is way too small to be Man-Ape and (b) yeah, right, like we'd ever see Man-Ape.
Maybe Reverend Doctor Michael ibn al-Hajj Achebe and Bob ... pft nah.

Agents of SHIELD will be moving back an hour when it returns in the Fall. Seems ABC is looking to push out of the cape business dropping Marvel's Most Wanted and Agent Carter, which is weird since ABC is owned by Disney as well.

Flash: Barry preaches the word of the Church of Speed Force. RIP in peace PrisonDad. It's funny how Canary Cry has actually FX on Flash and not Arrow. Kind of annoying how the "Inhumans have a purpose" plot point turned out that their purpose is to save Mary Sue Poots' butt all the time. Also no Coulson's Energy Shield, but at least we got Mack's Shotgun Axe. The ending with her was pretty meh, don't like the new look, but Life Model Decoys! SHIELD always has good season finales that leave you wanting more, and LMDs is enough or me.
Also I made a $20 bet that Ward will be back. Come on Lockjaw, it's too weird to think Brett Dalton Ward won't be returning. Maybe he'll be the first second LMD.
After Captain America: Civil War, Lincoln freed the Inhuman slaves and died. The writers really go out of their way to sneak this stuff in.
Oh God we're entering the dry season.
Anyway, rumors from the Brothers of Warner says that they've finally made the DC films their own division instead of just a random assortment of bad that it was, and promoted Geoff Johns and John Berg as the go-to in charge guys, similar to Kevin Feige for Marvel. I still think getting rid of Zack Snyder and just restarting would be the most helpful steps for the brand. As it stands I can't imagine anyone is going to want to sit through Justice League as long as he's still there but this is a good first step. In addition, Ben Affleck has been appointed as a producer for Justice League, Seth Grahame-Smith fired from directing The Flash, and some reshoots were done for Suicide Squad to "smooth out the third act."

Haven't watched Flash yet, fell behind on shows on Monday and ended up ******** around on Tuesday and it was almost 10pm before I realized SHIED finale was on.
I liked SHIELD's finale. Daisy's vision actually being thru Hive's eyes was a nice touch. I guessed it would be that way in the end, around the time they hinted at sending the ship up to orbit. Though with the way it all played out, Lincoln's sacrifice was largely unnecessary. I'm not sure what stopped Hive from just leaving the ship and falling to Earth, but it definitely wasn't Lincoln being there. Lincoln was powerless against Hive. Even if FitzSimmons Cure made him immune to the Hive parasites which isn't known cause it was Lash that made Daisy immune, Lincoln couldn't have stopped Hive.
So why did Hive stick around? Probably cause he wasn't in any real danger. Hive is a swarm of parasites. Even if those parasites on Hive died, he has others on Earth still. Those possessing the other Inhumans, or elsewhere. Which probably explains why he was so calm in the end. Didn't seem to care that he was about to die.
I do not know enough about the source material to know what the scientist at the end was doing with the AI and the body. During the whole end sequence there I kept thinking it would be revealed that he was locked in a prison cell in a SHIELD facility, forced to do work for them as his punishment.
I also laughed at the "Help me Obiwan..." line.
A few other shows are starting on Fox to fill the void (for one season at least, until they are cancelled). A TV series based on the Exorcist, and one on Lethal Weapon. Also a TV series that is apparently a cross between animated and live action with a He-man like character and an ex-wife or something... I'm not sure.
12 Monkeys on SciFi starting back up. Hunters on SciFi. Still have to watch Containment and Night Manager from this week.
Houdini and Doyle is still active. They were really playing up the "Bromance" between the two but so far the interactions between the two haven't really been all that interesting. Nothing like late season Boy Meets World Cory and Shawn, or JD and Turk from Scrubs. So far most of the interactions seem to be between Houdini and Female-Detective. And nothing at all in the series has been truly supernatural. Been quite disappointing. Somewhat interesting, enough that I'll keep watching it, but not what I initially expected.
It was painfully predictable who was going to die on Shield. There was no way they were going to break up the core group. Though, I would have loved to see Daisy gone for good.
The only show I'm looking forward to this summer is the second season of Mr Robot. The first season was some of the best TV I've seen in years.

That's like almost half DC Cape shows. Greg Berlanti hinted that they're already working on a fourway crossover for the shows. I'm still not sure how Supergirl cost like three million an episode. Guess Flockhart might have something to do with it, and the location. Waiting on iZombie, and and less interestingly there's that Archie Riverdale show.

It wasn't 100% obvious (there were a few of the side characters that it could have been), but the second Lincoln said he was quitting the crosshairs settled.
All in all, it was a pretty solid season finale though.
Legends of Tomorrow: That was the first fast episode. Not bad over all but we just spent a whole season with Savage curb stomping everyone that pretty much got close to him and then suddenly he jobbed to everyone? Was nice that the flame thrower gun finally set someone on fire. As far as season finales, not so bad. Name dropped the Justice Society of America, and if my quick googling is anything that was Hourman so interest in the next season.
Speaking of LoT, looks like besides losing the Hawks. I imagine to save money to bring Supergirl to CW. Which is actually fine, their story is pretty much concluded with (Vandal being gone). Guggenheim mentions that the cast is supposed to rotate in and out so at least there's allegedly a plan in place.
There were rumors circulating about Cate Blanchett, and it's been finalized as she's been cast as Hela in Thor: Ragnarok. She'll be joined by Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie, who was okay in Selma, Karl Urban as Skurge the Executioner, who was Dredd in ... Judge Dredd, and finally Jeff Goldblum as The Grandmaster, which is the only reason I'm now going to see this in the theater. I didn't really like the first two Thors as far as theater viewing movies, but seriously. Jeff Goldblum. Life found a way. No word on Portman, but she's been the weak link in the movies so no real loss. Tom Hiddleston and Anthony Hopkins will return as well, so I'm overall hyped. Oh, and Mark Ruffalo. Forgot Hulk'll be smashing Asgardians. Also: 90% in space. All good signs. There's a rumor that Loki banished Odin during the second movie to Earth and he's now powerless and mildly crazy and will show up in an Earth scene ranting about how the world is ending and Ragnarok is coming.
Several rumors surrounding Spider-Man: Homecoming today. One, the new costume (because there's always new costumes) will incorporate the web pits from the original costume, which would be neat. Always thought he'd use those to glide slightly between buildings before finding a web anchor point while traveling. Next, possible villain will be Tinkerer, which is a low level tech builder also from early Spider-Man and other characters. Vulture has been confirmed to be a villain in the movie, though no one is attached. However, sounds like Michael Keaton is back at the negotiation tables. Pretty good actor, and I think I'd lose my s**t if he were the Vulture, but most likely Norman Osborne.
Along with Stephen Lang and Dolph Lundgren, Ron Perlman has gone to Twitter to tell us how he'd make the best Cable. What a time to live in where actors start talking about characters they want to play that aren't even confirmed to be in movies. I think of the three so far I think Perlman is my favorite choice, but I think I'd be fine with any of them so far.
There's some buzz about wanting to do a Black Widow solo movie. Besides Kevin Feige mentioning it, Anthony Mackie says he'd be more than happy to bring the Falcon out. Personally if they do make a Widow movie I hope it's full on sci fi spy thriller, kind of like Metal Gear Solid. Some close combat, some gun fights, but mostly sneaking around and taking people out all stealth like. I think that would suit Widow best.
Or this, from SNL. I'd watch this as well.

So Preacher's pilot came and went. Better than I was expecting, but all thing's considered I was expected an unmitigated disaster so that isn't saying much. Pretty much every scene with Cassidy was great, even the random fight in the airplane with the I'm guessing they're members of Grail. That's the only thing that makes the spear being on the plane make sense. The little smirk Howard Stark Jesse gives the camera during the bar fight was a nice touch, too. My biggest complaint is probably that while the tincan bazooka was a neat scene, Tulip was way too hyper-competent.
Also dislike how they changed Jesse's father from a soldier to a priest. That change seems weird. His "too many of them" speech was also way too early. Also the lack of the "Fuck Communism" is probably going to irritate me every time Jesse lights up.
Oh, and Tom Cruise explodes. That was such a dumb joke that I found myself giggling. I was expecting an exploding church but I guess I'll settle for the guy at the start of the episode. I give the show an Open Your Heart/10.

I watched Preacher, it was not what I was expecting. Here I was thinking, based on the previews, something like.. Punisher but with a Preacher.
But that first episode was just over the top violence, mixed with a supernatural element. Some of those fight scenes were like watching Kingsman. Not really a bad thing, just not what I was expecting going in.
Gotham: Was that a Bruce-Clone at the end? And I thought Mad Hatter was making an appearance this season, unless Fish is it? They did cut back to the police station after zooming in on Fish, and show a seemingly crazy man in a top hat.
I laughed a little too much when ClayFace-Jim said, "Lee Thompson? ***** that hoe."

Yeah, the trailers were infinitely misleading if not flat out lying. It (should) only get more bizarre as it goes on. Not this Sunday though, they're skipping for Memorial Day weekend.
Gotham: It was ... weird. I liked the parts with Clay-Jim, but half the time it was like "Bullock knows," and then it was like "How does he not notice?!" I figure everyone freaked out over CuttleFish Mooney because they know she was dead and then she wasn't. The freakshow leaving the bus was neat, and Jerome's laugh at the end was a nice touch. Kind of dreading Evil Bruce Twin. Clay-Jim showed that it's the script keeping Ben McKenzie back and he really does have good range so maybe David Mazouz is the same way? My biggest issue was when Hugo Strange runs in between Freeze and Firefly's attacks and before the commercial he's scorched and flash frozen, and then they came back from the break and he was just a little dirty and just fine. Next season should be really freaky and even more over the top.
Comics: Apparently the whole New52 stuff was done by Dr Manhattan from the Watchmen, and Captain America has been Hydra all along. Because why the hell not.

I guess a guy loving someone like a brother is the same as wanting to stick your dick in them. This whole "they're not in a relationship so they must be gay" thing is such nonsense especially when the only indication they might be is purely fanfiction wishing.
Flash: I mean, I get it. His mom and PrisonDad were both killed as a direct result of his being the Flash so he pretty much put a stop to it and in the process destroyed a whole timeline. I was expecting something similar, like Barry destroying and merging the Supergirl universe, but that's probably what happens anyway. She just was canon all along. Also betting Wally becomes the Flash in Barry's place with the new timeline, and they both have to go back in time again to let Eobard take out Nora again. I imagine if this show goes long enough it'll turn out something like this: Shame, really. He had a pretty happy ending overall. CopDad was still alive, he all but had gotten the girl, a new brother, friends and family. For a superhero that's pretty much the Disney Happily Ever After. Guess we'll see tonight if it has any affect on Arrow, and whether the end scenes of Legends of Tomorrow are connected as well. I swear the time travel shenanigans are worse than Dr Who.
WB is doing more shifting after the underperformance of BvS, this time with producer Charles Roven who has been working on these movies since Batman Begins. I can't imagine he had much impact on BvS and yet Zack Snyder is still attached to pretty much every other DCU movie as at least an executive producer. That must be some contract he has.
There's a #SayNoToHydraCap trending, which is funny since the storyline is text book mind control. Basically 55k worth of free advertising on Twitter for Marvel by the vast majority of people that don't know how these things work or people that don't even bother reading in the first place.

Arrow finale didn't leave much of an impression. But I guess a bonus is at least they just didn't make the Flash's Timey-Wimey shenanigans just magic Darhk out of existence. On second thought, involving the Flash storyline in the finale may have made it more interesting.
Arrow: I don't think I've ever seen a season finale that made me hate a show more than Arrow's. So Felicity hacks a missile with all the complexity of a game of Angry Birds and sends it off to Havenrock again, and then the other 1,499 just kind of vanished into thin air and are defeated off panel. She could have, you know, asked the ex-boyfriend who was an almost as good as her (because no one can be equal or better) hacker to help with the missiles instead of convincing him to randomly commit suicide at the very least. Is it me, or is Amell's voice just not suited for loud inspirational speeches? I think he's a pretty good actor being wasted on Arrow, but his voice just doesn't have the weight to carry the presence necessary to make an impact. Not that that's a huge issue, since the whole riot was like fifty people. And sadly that wasn't even the worst thing for once. That Dark Knight Rises ending where all the armed goons with rifles just RUN IN TO MELEE WITHOUT FIRING A DAMN SHOT WHAT THE FLYING HELL.

(1 / 2) Not sure why a guy in a snake costume that threw knives needs a goofy helmet and what appears to be a powerpack on his back, but considering I enjoyed the rest of the Netflix line I'm willing to at least give it the benefit of the doubt. I mean, a bunch of knives are useless to a guy with unbreakable skin so I imagine they've upped his power level to make him more of a threat?

Personally, I just assumed someone was still salty that fans sided more with Cap than with writer-favorite Tony Stark in the comics version of Civil War and wanted to make the fans hate him.
Yeah, and Dan Slott said that Doc Ock was permanently Spider-Man and that he wasn't a fourteen year old girl but reading the books prove both wrong.
It's a clickbait story. Tony Stark was "always controlled by Kang the Conqueror" and then they turned him into a teenager and we don't speak about that any more. Superman gets a whiff of Red Kryptonite every few years or some other reason to become dictator supreme of the world just so he can wear a pope hat. It's really only a twist if you've never picked up a comic book before. The best part is apparently people are buying the book just to burn them and post pictures on social media while calling Nick Spencer (the writer) an anti-semite. That's like hitting the lottery of irony.
I just watched the animated Flash Point Paradox on Netflix last month. If they do that with the Flash, I'd be OK with Barry's decision. Even though it was kind of a stupid setup to make it happen.
