I am brand new to the game and was wondering if this was a good server to choose. There are not that many threads in this forum so I'm assuming that this is a fairly new server. I live in Michigan so I'm in the Eastern Time zone.
I don't know anything about this game at all and was going to pick the game up this Friday. I am hoping to check back here daily for any tips that the community might have. I was planning on making a white mage because I like playing healing classes whenever I can.
I just recently cancelled my WOW account and wanted to check this game out.

We have it lucky compared to some servers I think, while all servers are plagued with RMT, we don't have it as bad as some servers.

RMT are lvling up fast, they're already in CN..

RMT have killed JoL on Odin and a few other servers, this server doesn't have any RMT with sea access as far as I know.

RMT are people who work for a comapny and sell the gil they make online.
As soon as SE bans the accounts, they make new ones and start leveling again.
At times you will see 10-20 Rank 1 people leveling in the same zone, with one or two high level mages powerleveling them.
