Otherwise known as the first weekend that you get less sleep :3 if you live in North America.

FFXI goal:
1) Finish 1 or 2 new ghost ship quests.
2) Level COR to 40
3) Two different tarutarus need help with CoP seperate mission, Ama comes to rescue.
4) Dynamis-Tavanzia!

Real life goal:
1) Hope I can take of the bandages on my toe after I messed it up this week (one bloody and painful toe ftw!). ><
2) Go to anime club.
3) Adjust my clock ~_~

Hmmm I dunno, last time there was a clock change I forgot for about a week.

Either finish RDM and have my 4th job at 75, or level BLM some.

Update: Got all my RDM AF pieces. Feels kinda weird being level 50 and having "Paragon of Red Mage Excellence" as my title. I'd really like to thank Evangel, my two main LS HellsAngels, and CV, and a **** ton of other people for helping me with coffer keys, fighting the NMs and what not. Now I just gotta level my job, increase my skills and make sure I'm a pretty damn good RDM for being a spoiled brat. Lol. <3

One major important goal for the weekend completed:

Dynamis-Tavanzia Interloper (but we got 0 other drops however @_@) It was fun, short, and a lot of death and zombie tactics >_>

If you really want some fancy food, I can sell some fancy 4 hour food to you at discount price :P. (jk)

It depends how much you are willing to spend, HQ Apple Pie is pretty good imo. For best bang of buck for quality, Sweet Rice Cakes are the best imo.

I am still trying to get the ghost pirate ship quests done... still on first quest >< I did managed to get COR to 40 and half way to 41 (with a few exp scrolls). Leveling was going so slow for me recently.

Ok...

Dw and I gave up trying to SP together our last few sets of jobs to the 40... With the quantity of people looking and/or the absolute lack of tank or healer we decided (whether good or bad) to powerlevel each other in pt or solo to 40.

I know alot of people that don't like the powerlevel thing (and I completely understand this view)~ but it has been so damn frustrating. Not to mention with the fact that 40-75 on our next pair to 75 we'd have plenty of time to enjoy the lfp waiting game then (plus we are really excited about xping our next pair so the "every job to 40" thing is starting to become a big pain in the a$$ when waiting hours for a simple invite).

So with that being said we both were able to powerlevel each other to 30 this weekend. Most of it solo... But yesterday did happen to get a nice group of people and xp'd quite awhile.

Got to do both beseiges yesterday which was fun ~ killed main NM in the Mamool group took a great deal of effort but we did it!

The ugly thing is that playing quality in the late 20s and 30s can be quite poor. And a lot of PTs are hit or miss even up to 60s, which is bad for me since I am leveling COR now (and leveled NIN before), and it is expensive to level especially dealing with a poor quality PT.

I would really like to a static party for my Corsair. ; ;

One thing I notice a LOT is that people don't seem to pay attention as if they are watching TV when playing FFXI. Some fraction people like to play the trump card "I play the game the way I want!" when others make suggestions to improve their game play, which is very frustrating.

I usually solo up to level 15 nowadays, and simply go to Korroloka Tunnels to get out of the dreaded 10s fast.

I am distastful to PLing a PT. I once PTed my COR with a well respected player (I am not going to say who, but that person used to post here too) in the server, and he brought his GF's character to PL the PT. I asked him to stop, and then he just used the other character to cure himself and during downtime in the PT, which I silently acknolwedged as a compromise.

If you gonna PL >< Just PL solo so it won't effect other learning curve. There are always people who are "noobs," which with or without PL or other advice, they are gonna be hard to deal with.

I don't want to turn to a NA vs JP argument, but I will just be frank. Even the top tier players in both JP and NA tend to be quite equal at the high level, it is the middle/newbie/low level-class that there are huge differences. It just seems I met more NA who gimp and don't put effort among middle/newbie/low level-class than JP.

If someone bring another character for raises, that I do not mind too.

I am interested in teaming up with a static group with my Corsair if there are takers for that, but I only usually PT like twice a week. But if I find good group, I am willing to spend more time in joining a PT.

I hear ya Amanada ~ that's why I cringe to Plvl pt's too. But when I do ~ I try to be respectful of the members (if they don't want a plvl, I do leave :P) ~ and for situations like Dw and me when we are plvling each other and turn to joining a party we won't build a pt with a healer so the members can do what they are meant to do in a pt situation ~ since me plvling would detract from the learning and skill ups of a healer.

The majority of the plving this weekend was just me and Dw plvling each other. :P We both only had 1 party (actually the same pt when I hit 30 Dw geared up and joined them and got his 2 lvls for lvl 30) The party yesterday worked pretty decently ~ and all the players seemed to be veterans and understood the dynamics of their jobs. So I'm very confident they will become solid players of their respective jobs high level. Unlike the party I had when I was finishing leveling my red mage where the dark knight at lvl 72 did not know how to skillchain.... But I digress.

Only 4 more jobs to 40 and Dw and I can focus on Rngs to 75 ^.^. Gonna be alot of fun. Not to mention ~ no more Qufim no more Jungle.... It's gonna be wonderful to have that behind us. Almost as wonderful as when we finished our last jobs in V. Dunes (unless they add some new jobs in next expansion lol ~ then gotta start the road all over again.)

Yeah i guess your right.

Actually that gave me an idea for wayde, have chicio just log out where wayde is always at so that if one of my party members dies i can just switch to chicio to raise him hmmmm.

As for soloing to 15 as much as that sounds better than taking a gamble with the newbies dunes home to the valkurm newblets as a melee war im a newb because its been what 2 years since i ever touched a melee job in a party? but things like that is understandable, but having lvl 1 rse gear in a dunes party is just unacceptable. Then people complain and say "im a warrior im supposed to take less damage than everyone else in the party" well if you have bronze gear on still you would suck like a tard .......

As for power leveling yeah cutting down time is good but what happens when your healing a party that doesnt have a whm or blm rdm/whm sub? smn/whm cant be a main healer even in quifm ..... pling would be more of a relief than killing the learning curve. Once i hit lvl 50 blm im going to occasionally go around low lvl parties and help people that really need it. I also owe people for helping me in the past as well....
