New end game LSFollow

#1 Sep 08 2006 at 5:13 PM Rating: Excellent
Well I have finally had my fill of failing end game LS. So in the light of this occurrence I have decided to make my own LS. I am hoping to make this LS as democratic as possible seeing as a fair amount of End game LS do not believe that democracy can work in the setting of a game. Me on the other hand, I believe that it can and will work in a organized fashion. So to Cerberus I extend the offer of a new LS that will consist of the norm end game events such as sky, sea, hnms, and dynamis as well as many other events in the near future. At the moment I am making lax recruiting policy requiring only levels 65 and over and sky access. If you are interested than please post on the forums located at http://www.guildportal.com/Guild.aspx?GuildID=112398&TabID=959986 Best of luck to everyone on Cerberus and hope to see you on the LS.

Wait... Ulli still pops...?

LS has spent several hours in sky camping him and we just said ***** it for now, so we just did some gods minus Byakko.

Suzaku and Seiryu are fun with only one alliance with 1 whm and 2 blm. XD

As long as no one is cheating, any competition is fair. Osodes and Haidates are intended to be rare.

haidate is only rare because of gilseller and a lot of ****** hnmls that can't do anything but sky, thanks to se's genius idea of making exp easier to get in every update.

It is intended to be rare to begin with and not like every other Joe should have one. And last few times I was at Ulli camp, there were no gil sellers there.

People always blame GS for all the game problems. Why don't you ask your LS leader start kicking people who buy gil in your LS? And why don't you go to each KI and Alla server forum and question why HNMLS on our and other server has to use hacks? It may be a game design flaw to have Ulli pops not enough or Fafnir a 21-24 hour pop, but those are only game design flaw if people think they must have a Ridill, M Body or Hadiate. I have gotten by standard gear for very long time, and good gear is only useful if you have good skill and play experience. FFXI is meant to be a time sink and a game to "take it slow." It is player's fault to attempt to cheat/hack to play the game that is not intend to and negatively influence other game play by hacking or starting fights/drama in the game to contend for an item which is intended to be rare by the game designers.

Play the game and be happy. Sometimes wanting too much only makes yourself angry. Buddha knew that before my grandfather's grandfather's grandfather was born.

For this to happen for some us, avoiding endgame is the only way. Luckily there is tons of things to do besides endgame.

I do participate in certain end game activity, and I do admit end game have helped me alot in make gil in the game. But sometimes if overly obessed in getting leet, or overly concern comparing yourself with others, really does yourself no good -- I think that is a general statement to life not just for FFXI. Rich people are not always the happiest people, of course you can still be rich and be happy (I love that Dave Thomas smile and warmth, he was rich and probably a very happy guy, too bad he is gone now :( ). But you can be somewhat poor (let say not too poor, that sucks too), and still be happy.

You do not always have to treat another potential rival LS as an "enemy", and be hostile and overly scarcastic to them.

umm..if haidate were supposed to be rare, then it wouldn't have such a decent drop rate. ulli is 100%, byakko is pretty decent (25%?), and byakko himself is a joke to kill. that's not something that seems like it's supposed to be rare.

so let's look at the real reasons it's rare. gilsellers and ****** hnmls that can't do anything but sky... ratemedownifthisheartsyournewbiefeelings;;

I've never seen a player with haidate on rag or cerberus. But 100 million osodes, if that accounts for rarity.

Who cares if someone only wants to do Sky? I only do Sky too (+ Limbus), and I am good friends of people who are "leeting" than me (Bani ; ;), and people who are much less "leet" than I do. Do what you like, it is all good. Putting people down because they don't kill Fafnir or Tiamat... tells me what are the real problem of the game -- a problem that is far larger than GS, and a reason why GS actually exist. If people are not so "OMG I WANT AN OSODE NOW!" "I WANT A NOBLEZ TUNIZ NOW!", there will be a lot less GSs and botters around. If you want to kill your Fafnir, it is your business, but don't judge another person for that.

I do agree GS in Sky does not help, but SE did take action against to those who were up there. And as I said, GS, to a large degree, is a problem caused by players themselves.

We should stop derailing Pent's thread. Lets get back to topic :)

Not that I'm extremely active in end game, but the pure hostility that exists at end game astounds me. One of my first times camping faust with my ls, I waved to and talked to a friend there in /say. Immediately people were telling me, I shouldn't be talking or interacting with the other ls.

Why we can't just all get along, I'll never understand. Yes, I know it's jealousy and greed and all the usual things, but seriously this is just a game. Play nice, be nice to other people. Don't get me wrong, this doesn't mean I expect everyone in endgame to be a doormat and get walked all over. However, I think a little better relations between all the endgame lses could go a long way.

If you are so competitive just in a game and get so worked up in the competition in FFXI, your are going to jump off the roof of CN Tower when you go professional/academia work or a corporate enterprise :3
