Greetings, Cerberus!Follow

#1 Jul 11 2006 at 9:56 AM Rating: Good
I recently acquired the 360 version and have been playing for a few weeks; now I'd like to introduce myself to the forums... I've been reading many of the posts about people quitting this server, and it looks bad here, but it is not... The helpfulness and benevolence I see from many of the more experienced players on Cerberus is overwhelming! With this type of general attitude coming from the majority of people I've seen, I see only growth in the future... I'm sticking with this server, at least... That is, me, and my room mate, who also got a world pass here a week ago...

If you would need any help, feel free to ask me. Do you have a LS yet?

Thanks, and no LS yet... I'm looking for one, too... I've stopped levelling War at 20 (waiting for a Neckchopper to show up in AH) and am dabbling crafting, fishing, and in all the other starter jobs, so when I get advanced jobs, my subjob options will be wide open... So only place I can really party is in Valkurm... When I snag that Neckchopper I'm heading to Qufim and can group there with whatever shell I'm in...

I think you would make a great member for ClanDestine!

Here's all of the sackholder information and some other general information about the direction and "climate" of our LS:

Alternatively, you can contact me anytime I am online and I will meet you in Valkurm or Bastok (or anywhere in between) and give you a pearl and introduce myself. Hope to see you soon!

I looked over the ClanDestine post earlier and I was intrigued... I'm usually in Bastok around 7:00-midnight Central... I'd like a pearl...

Welcome aboard Umezawa, I hope you and your room mate enjoy the game.

If I can help you with anything from advice to missions, feel free to ask me here or in-game.

And a big /cheer for already realizing the importance of multiple subjobs, and taking time to learn crafts and fishing.

I wish I could part with my Neckchopper for you, I spent a solid week farming to afford it when I was just starting, but I'm just too sentimental and love using it on cap areas too much. ^-^

Well last night I logged on, and oh JOY! The Neckchopper went for 135k in Bastok... Maybe 1 or 2 are available to buy there every month... I wish I would have known about 6-7 sell in Jeuno every day! I got a wild hair and looked up the ClanDestine sack holders... Asherr hooked me up with a pearl, an escort to Jeuno (without which, I would most certainly have delevelled to 19), and a crash-course from a fellow warrior what the best subjobs are at what levels... Half an evening in the shell, and I'm already impressed... I hopped around between a few shells earlier on, and would see discouraging things like drama, **** officers, silence in linkshell chat, and people not really having much knowledge of in-game concepts... This one is helpful, informative, and to my knowledge, drama-free...

You do not need the best equipment to level in this game -- especially for a new player, it will be hard pressed to get the best money-wise, and at that level the best gear makes a quite small difference compare to at higher level. I use NQ (normal quality gear) when I level my red mage. I would rather see a newer player know (say warrior) remember to use berserk (and know when not to use it), etc etc.

If you do join ClanDestine, I have heard nothing but good about that LS. I hope you will have great fun.

Welcome to Clan-D, Ume. I'm glad you're enjoying it so far. We pride ourselves on being relatively drama free. And we try to be as helpful as we can. However...we have no BRDs. /winks at Amanada. And we need one.

Hahaha...Kitt, I've been trying to catch you online forever. You're an elusive creature. I only seem to be online the same time as Kitanna. It's becoming frustrating. Will you be online at all tomorrow (Thursday)? If so, what time...in eastern standard time, that is. I'll jump on to meet you wherever. You need a blasted pearl.
