{sigh} Well I have come to the forums to get input from people on the different HNMLS's out there on our server. I have been playing this game some time now and have grown to enjoy the character that has been created. As we all know, some of the items at end game require lots of help and teamwork to achieve. I am now at the point where it seems that most of the game time is spent going after items for enhancing gear. What I'm trying to achieve here is input from other players on our server of their HNMLS and how the different ones are run. {ie: is there a system to the drops on how they are decided.} I'm not looking for people to start flaming other shells on this post, just info on the different ones out there that are in the NA times.

I don't know if you'll get many answers, I asked one friend of mine in an HNMLS the same question and he wouldn't tell me, talked about the whole maintaining secrecy bit, but I know one LS has a waiting list system based on who is what job, who needs it for exping, and how long they been waiting. Like if someone needs it just because they want it, they are automatically going to get it last but if they are using it for exping they will be one of the first.
Here's a few hnmls that are our NA on our server.
Insurrection, YourFantasy, PaiMei, KoN, IonStorm
From what i've been told usually anyone Pre-70 does not get to lot on any grear drops. They usually let the Pre-70 lot on Byne Bills and other sellable goods.

all NA times' HNMLS on our server are merit based, meaning u get gear based on your work, attitude, and dedication to the LS.
what you wanna know is which LS will fit your playtime style, HNMLS isnt something that u do on the side, it covers more than half of your time on ffxi.
Most HNMLS even requires you to be on call whenever u are in game regardless of whatever you are doing, which usually for ground kings or CoP wyrms that dont have specific time of day to pop so they cant really schedule for a run.

Just keep in mind HNM LSes aren't for everyone. They all require alot of work and paitence and some people don't think its worth it. I've had more people tell me that kind of thing isn't as fun as just have a normal ls. Keep in mind you can do Dynamis and Gods without having to be in a serious HNM ls too. Some of this though, is just my opinion, my input. I like the lses that I have, social and do serious things too. Great lses.

When can a Bard Join? I figured pretty low because BRDs dont rely on HP or MP really.

Bad advice Chinq, if your gonna say don't at least put down some reasons. The scoop on HNMLS is that it is a lot of hard work. @75, you'll be spending half your time doing LS events if your a part of these shells and half your time gaining xp to recover from losing xp if your part of these shells.
The only reason you would really want to join these shells is for the godly gear and a chance to fight some cool NM's. If your cool with the gear you have and come and go at odd times, probably not worth joining since you need to build a bit of rep within the LS before you can lot on the good stuff.

Hmmm , Well I can see some of the views that are forming. I can appreciate the fact of the time aspect. May just have to find a good shell with higher lvl peeps in it. So thanks for answering some of my questions. And see you guys around our world.
