I know that this forum is for gameing and in particularly for ffxi. As I was playing I am watching the news to see what pictures they have on the gulf coast and a mans description of how he that day pulled three dead people from his neiborhood and covered them as he waited for help to arrive.

People there have seen the worst and most feared kind of devestation. Take the time (if your religious or of any faith) to say a prayer for those people and if you can help by sending money to the Red Cross or other charity organization.

I know its easy to get caught up in our own lifes and day to day activities. When other countrys need help we have helped, when our own brothers are in need in our own homeland in the USA lets do everything we can to help our own neighbor.

Here here! I cannot tell you how much I have been contemplating this disaster--the effect it is having on the victims and the historic significance in general.

I would like to get political and add that my charity of choice is the Salvation Army. The Red Cross has been proven time and time again to be a for profit organization. Not only do the numbers prove it, but I can provide many testimonials about them charging victims for the "relief" they receive from them.

I myself have made an (albiet small) donation, and I would hate to see any other monies donated end up lining the pockets of beuracracy.
