Early Levels and CritFollow

I wanted to post this as something to think about when leveling an elemental shaman early in the game (Think below level 40). Most folks that come here will have leveled past this.

One of the most important things you can build towards is Crit Chance. You will generally have a good MP pool and the fights you will get in will not have you running out of Mana. Crit Chance is fairly easy to get, and the double damage from your spells will mean that you can cast less spells to kill a mob. Less spells means faster kills. Faster kills means faster leveling. The key to increasing this would be crit strike rating, if you can get it, or INT. INT is easy to come by, and I would encourage you to stack as much of it as you can.

I was sort of hoping that someone would come in here and tell me that this post was total crap, and unnecessary, that way we would have some sort of conversation in this mainly dead end of Zam-Space. Ahh well...

This post is total crap and unnecessary. You should gear for Spirit and Agility as an Elemental Shaman while leveling.

I'd say it's crap, but I haven't touched my shaman in several months, and he's rusting away in the mid-40s somewhere.

I think I brought him to IF so I could get more presents, but that's it...

I prefer stacking Strength and trying to heal in 5 mans and BGs.

This works very well at low levels.

While this does work well, don't forget that shamans can use shields. Tanking instances, while wearing cloth (to prove your uber-toughness) makes much more sense.

Precisely. And you want to be sure to dodge as many hits as possible, and hit things fast, right? Agility daggers are great...don't listen to those rogues and hunters calling you a ninja, they're just jealous of how awesome you are.

Daggers? What are you, some kind ree-taarrd?

A tanking shaman should be using a gigantic 2-handed mace, just like a death knight.

Get your facts straight and stop misleading n00bs.
