Maz, is your version of WoW on the metric system or something? The crits you talk about are just outta control. I've never seen an Env crit above 30k.

It was a Shadowfang Keep run and the Rogue was very well-geared. His DPS was a 16k average.

Edit: We use the metric system, yes, but I believe 55k is 55,000 regardless of the system. The 'k' in 55k means kilo, which means thousand. Smiley: tongue

Did anyone else notice how revealing strike seems to affect kidney shot now? You can do 8.7 second stuns as combat as long as you haven't DRed it with CS.

Yeah, rogues at AJ were talking about that. I personally think combat might be a viable PvP spec now, due to that. It's not like the mobility can be any worse than mutilate, and rogues are doing fine with that.

Did my first heroic on my rogue (ilvl 330 or so geared) and Mutilate is disgustingly good DPS given my gear level (which is somewhat crappy). I still haven't quite figured out how to maximize DPS all the time on small groups, but on bosses ... forget it. I had multiple bosses over 12k DPS, and a few over 15k (Rajh was at 19k, but he has that burn phase so he probably doesn't count), while also doing things like kicking and keeping up Recup if needed. It was a blast.

There are plenty of cool tricks in the combat tree, stuff like throwing spec and improved sprint. I haven't tried it in pvp but when leveling, sprint had incredible uptime because of the restless blades talent. And the new toggle version of blade flurry is pure sex. Trying to peel a high resi combat rogue becomes very unappealing because of how little damage they take plus the constant cleaves.
