The Switch to BOOMFollow
Recently switched my secondary spec to moonkin and I am loving it. Only problem I am having is remembering to reapply my buffs in a timely matter. Are there any good addons that will track Moonfire and Swarm without taking up to much screen real estate
Any of the DoT monitors out there would be good. DoT Timer is a good one, as is ForteXorcist. I think DoT Timer is probably the better option though, and I think I'm going to be switching soon. FX tracks all the DoTs fine, but they all stack up on top of each other in one spot and it's hard to tell which DoTs are for which mobs.
I would recommend Boomkinator or Quartz.
Power Auras is a great one, too, but I`m too lazy to mess with it.

I use ForteXorcist for all my toons (feral I have a separate mod). It is not that easy to work out but is very powerful once you get sorted.
Also, for all my alts I use a mod called Ovale which tells you which spell to be casting next to optimise your rotation. With all the changes that came out in 4.01 and me having 10 80's (many with dual spec) I don't know how I would survive without it. If nothing else it is a good teacher and allows you to follow what EJ sometimes tells you rather cryptically is the correct rotation for a spec :)

There's a small problem with the Boomkinator add on just looking at the description. It says that during eclipses, star surge is dimmed. From what I've read here and on EJ, that shouldn't be the case. You want to cast starsurge everytime it comes off cooldown as it's our most powerful nuke. I think using that add on would just end up confusing me with that error.

It isnt anymore, they fixed it. Once starsurge is up, it appears, during eclipse or not. Its dimmed when its on cd, like everything else.
Boomkinator, for me, is a great reminder. From time to time I forget to cast Starfall.
It has a big problem, though. It doesnt know the difference between your dots and the dots of another moonkin. So, if you are using Boomkinator to keep track of your dots, forget it. When another moonkin cast a dot, it will think it was you and mess everything up.
Thats why I said that, for me, its a great reminder of CDs.
