My main spec is resto, but I intend to level 80-85 as elemental, and with the imminent release of patch 4.0.1 I've been looking at the new talent trees and trying to decide on how to spec for levelling, currently I'm looking at a 31/5/0 spec for lvl 80.

Since this is my offspec I'm not totally sure that I've gone in the right direction; I'm aiming to go for a 36/5/0 spec for lvl 85, although I am considering dropping 2 points from Feedback to get Ancestral Swiftness for PvP.

Any helpful comments / ideas would be much appreciated.

I'm disappointed that all elem shaman will basically be the same. For dps, there simply are no real options.

PvP, I suppose ya could shift points around for Ancient Swiftness/Elemental Warding. (Not an elem pvp guru)

I suppose could dip some "overflow" pts into Resto, pvp or pve specs, but those pts would get wasted by me atm. Healing's not my thing as elem, and have no idea what/how 1st tier Resto talents might be worth as the "survival" aspect becomes more important in Cata.

There's nothing wrong with your specs that I can see. I just don't see many strictly elem dps options.

Edit: I haven't looked at the glyphs yet either.
