This forum needs some CPR.

I'm leveling, in a very halfassed way, an Arms warrior.

The chances of my questions becoming an issue are minimal but I'll ask any way. Is it ok while leveling to skip the weapon specialization talents in anticipation of frequent weapon switching during the leveling process?

Spec wise you really only have to put 1 point into the parry talent and get to put points out of Arms sooner as you get everything sooner so can grab stuff elsewhere. Of course this will require a respec as you approach level 80 and weapon changes become less frequent.

None of this matters as my warrior will likely be still in Azeroth when Cata hits but still.

Side note, Arms is looking sexy for Cata. Three free points to put where ever after DPS stuff is hawt.

DW is for sissies, wait I meant rogues. O wait, same thing.

I leveled mine mainly dual wielding simply because leveling and waiting 2s+ per swing was horrid. Albeit this was prior to the leveling exp nerfs.

Nowadays I'd imagine it's not so bad remaining with a 2h.

Weapon spec aint a big deal until later really anyway.

I broke my record for leveling. I was a Warrior, I rolled him on Labor Day, and have been playing only on the weekends.

I'm sitting at 62 right now.

I leveled him up as Arms, mainly because I had the BoA Axe and felt that I was giving up too much to go Fury. I LOVE DoTs, so the bleed effects suited me naturally. I enjoyed the hell out of it, in spite of my previous best attempt with a warrior was reaching 20.

As for your problem, I took the Axe specialization just because I use the damn axe. Here's what I would go with if I was in your situation (this is up to 59).

Once you hit 60, I'd start pumping points into Fury for Cruelty and Armored to the Teeth, and then figure it out from there.

I just loved the hell out of it though. It's probably the most fun I've had leveling since the pre-3.1 Frost DK.

My number one hope for Cataclysm is that Blizzard moves tanking away from the AoE faceroll it's become, and that we have to use things like CC, kill orders, etc. again.

But my number two hope is that Arms is competitive PVE DPS again. :)

Same, always liked the idea of Arms and disliked Furry.

I used to love fury when it was two 1handers, pre Titan's grip. Kinda lame now
