I have a lvl 68 hunter MM spec, and just started using a wolf, but i'm finding out he's not holding aggro.
Is the wolf a good choice for holding aggro? or is it my spec?

had a raptor before and had no problems.

Unless you're BM with a tenacity pet, you will pull aggro. Even as BM with a Crocolisk it'll be close. It's just something to get used to. Get into the habit of Misdirecting and Feigning Death more often.

And don't forget to turn on Growl to solo, and off in groups. A wolf shouldn't be any worse than a raptor.

Do they still put low level pets 5 levels lower than you when you first tame them? Because if the wolf is 5 levels lower than you it could be a problem.

Just speculating...

Yes if you tame a pet 5 levels or more under you'r level it will remain 5 levels lower so that might be part of it. Other than that it's back to what Ehcks said, you will be pulling from your pet, especially as MM or SV.

When I was leveling my Wolf, I found that his aggro was noticably more fragile than the boar I'd had since the beginning. Even now that they're both at level cap, the boar just holds things a few beats longer. As SV, I can't avoid ripping off of any pet, but it does seem much easier when it's the wolf.
