We don't know threat modifiers on them, and heart strike will only be relevant for tanking anyway. That may make a significant enough difference in and of itself.

Though it's a bit confusing that they seem to be prioritizing Death Strikes for tank purposes, what with the mastery bonus for the tree, yet Death Rune Mastery still converts the FU runes, not the B.

Edit: Seems like heart strike is getting adjusted or something as well, as your numbers don't agree with the ones on wowhead or mmochamp, and nor do either of those agree with eachother.

And you can bet that it won't be smart enough to not break CC.

I'm not saying they didn't, I'm just saying the ability is apparently under heavy scrutiny if multiple datamining efforts have returned different results from eachother, let alone what is currently live on beta.

Diggory, small quick question;

Quote:
The latest beta build reintroduced class masteries in-game! Masteries are affected by the Mastery Rating on your gear.

Quote:
# Blood - Each time you heal yourself via Death Strike, you gain 50% of the amount healed as a damage absorption shield. Absorb increased further by mastery rating.

Could you do a quick check and see whether "amount healed" includes overhealing or not? As in - if you're on 9K/10K hp, and you DS for 2K, do you get a (50% of 1000 = ) 500 shield or a (50% of 2000 = ) 1000 shield?

| didn't know they implemented the masteries. At least, the game doesn't tell you them anywhere and the mastery section of your character pane says NYI.

And using DS doesn't give me any kind of buff, spell effect or animation that's out of place. And nothing is mentioned in the combat log.

And actually using DS doesn't seem to generate ANY shield.

I'm thinking masteries will be available in the next build, not the current one. That, or DK (at least Blood's) just aren't implemented yet.
