Hi all
Im aware that we cannot put runes on boa weapons, my question is this. Is it necessary to be a effective tank to have runes on weapons before 80 ? Should I just keep my boa weapons for when I dps and just use some green/blue for when im tanking ?

Some of the earlier runes are lackluster, imo. I think you get stoneskin gargoyle around level 75ish? That is a very important one to have. Before that There is a decent want that adds a good bit of parry %. While not required, I would definitely recommend runes anywhere lvl 70 and up.

Ill stick with my boa til I get stoneskin gargoyle, and the use whatever blues/greens I find with defense when I tank. Thank you for your reply.

You won't find 2h weapons with defense, and you shouldn't be using one anyway. The rune is there to give you the defensive stats on an otherwise offensively budgeted slot, but you want the best offensive power you can muster from the weapon itself since you don't receive much bonus threat from ability uses themselves (like most tanks) and instead receive most of it from a threat multiplier based on your offensive power.
Personally I just used my heirloom axe all the way to 80 and then bought a titansteel destroyer to runeforge for starting up tanking 4srs.
