First of all, hello! ^^
So, with my main (warlock) only needing stuff from icc, I suddenly have a lot of time over.
I decided to give tanking with my lvl 70 DK a try.
I respecced (blood), bought some green tanking gear and read up on what to do.
Feeling confident i pressed the random dungeon button thingie, and as I got a group my adrenaline started pumping.
Utgarde Keep, the place I know by heart felt new and terrifying.
First pull. I couldn't even control two mobs and constantly lost aggro, but we survived.
Second pull. The fight lasted about ten seconds.
After two more tries i was kicked.
I tried, and tried.. and tried. I got kicked more times than i want to remember, was called a noob among the nicer things. I failed at everything it seemed and my self-esteem was at the bottom.
I started reading guides, pestered fellow DK's for advice and studied rotations like a mad-man.
Then finally, one day I succesfully got a group alive through UK. Barely.
Here comes the twist.
When the group was disbanding a mage whispered me and asked why i tanked in Blood Presence.
I have never felt so dumb. I had missed the most fundamental little thing, clicking that Frost Presence button.
After realizing my mistake, tanking was now a cakewalk.
I really enjoy it, and honestly think that my little adventure made me a better tank in the end ^^
Got any ****** moments to share?
