So...Yeah. I've always wished they would give Mages a hood with a blacked out face and glowing eyes, similar to Black Mages in the Final Fantasy series. I am in love with the way this set looks. I've always been a big PvP'er too, but not on my Mage per say. My Mage has been shelfed since around a month or two after WotLK release, so now I"m going to pick him back up.

So rejoice with me here you Mage PvP'ers, about how awesome this set looks.

WTB Pro Tips while I"m here:

What should I spec my Mage in to? I want a badass all around PvE spec that will do well in both raids and heroics, and I want an all around PvP spec that will mostly serve best for 2v2 and 3v3 arena, but will also perform well in BGs. Would Arcane for PvE and Frost for PvP still be the way to go then?

Also, when did Priests start doing 2s with Mages more than Rogues? Lol, that's pretty crazy, and fortunate, as I have a very good Priest friend where I'll be playing. (Just seen on SK gaming that Priest/Mage is a more popular 2s than Priest/Rogue now'days. Was shocked.)

One last thing, I thought I remember something about arena Weapons and Head and Shoulder pieces no longer being attainable from 2v2 arena teams? I wow-head'd them though and I couldn't find that anymore on the tooltips for the items. Did they take that out or is it still in? Just trying to figure out if I need to get a 3v3 team lined up or not.

Arcane and Frost are still good choices.

I think you're right that the arena rating requirement for PvP gear can't be fulfilled by 2v2 teams.

Arena season 8 Mage-set looks a bit like old set T-7.... Then I'd say the Arena season 7 set looks better for (gnome)mage. Love the head-item on that one wich drops over the face to hide the face a bit...

I rly like the looks of the Mage T-10-set, I even went to hairdresser to adjust my haircolor for it to green. :D It actually has something of a Warlock-look with the head-item.

Atm I got 3/5 of that set T-10, head (251), hands (251), chest(264) + a (264)shoulder wich looks like the T-10.5 shoulder. So alrdy got the full look of T-10.

But it's all personal ofcourse, hell, I even liked the T-8 set where the mage-chest was not a robe. I loved that, my Guildtabart looked very cool on that, while almost everyone hated the look of that chest.

A ball on my head? lol! Oh well, that's me, always making fun of the way my gear looks. Now that I'm a troll it's even worse, because hey, it can't be worse than my two big toes sticking out, no matter what boots I get. :) Unfortunately, I probably won't see that gear until next season. PVP on my carebear server is just, well I don't see it much, and can't even pick up PVP gear from Vaults, since we hardly ever have WG. I have a relentless belt, that's it. At least a guildie is stirring things up in Halaa from time to time. World PVP is the most fun for me anyway. /ramble off
