It needs updating, Mozared is doing a good job with the healing FAQ and updating it, but there's basically no shadow FAQ now.
And although I don't play shadow it annoys me that there's no reliable and easy to access source of information on Allakhazam for shadow.

So, with this I ask everyone here who knows his or her thing or two about shadow to look at the shadow FAQ and update the information to reflect the current state of the game.
I'll take a stab at it too to see what I as completely non shadow priest can do to help.

Edit: It's not a problem if you don't know that much about shadowpriests, it's also not a problem if you're not that fluent in english.
There are enough people here who can spot and fix mistakes you might make so any info you have is very welcome.

Edit2: The guides and FAQs sticky is also pretty out of date, maybe replace it with a simple questions, simple answers thread similar to the one I made in the hunter forums? (since there's a sor of cap set at 3 stickies per forum)
And I'll rate up anyone who posts helpful information or helps with improving the sticky in here.
For whatever that's worth Smiley: wink

The first part of the shadow sticky should obviously tell them to respec disc. Asides from that I can't help much.

edit: All I know about shadow DPS is get up shadow weaving stacks before applying SW:P. That and they looked all faded.

Eek! sorry, Been busy raiding and writing addons and stuff. It looks like there's quite a lot of rewriting to do anyway for the old FAQ, going to be interesting.

Is Lua as easy to learn as I think it is?

Just curious.

Erm, if you've had any experience in writing software before its not really that hard. Best way to get into it is to look at some examples. There's one on wowace thats very good for getting the general idea of how the language works. http://old.wowace.com/wiki/WelcomeHome_-_Your_first_Ace3_Addon

I changed DBM to swear at people when they /w me in raid combat but I want more.

Am trying to learn C# as of now but since that is a syntax based language I think I can learn Lua edit:spelling at the same time.

C# doesn't have pointers, its like programming for idiots.

I'm learning the syntax but damn coming from C++ it is like programming for people who have issues writing code that wont explode. All the 'fail safe' C# crap is stuff that newbs would try and write and miss if they used a real big boy language.

Hm please help I have issues making sure my pointers and references don't access things they shouldn't because I can't clarify that when I declare them. Making sure code is ****** proof is how you should do things, not what the language spec does.

Anyway, I'll try and get a Lua reference soonish. If someone has a link much happiness.
