If you are talking about seeing the animation that was previously over the person you were misdirecting to now being over your head, don't fret it. The animation shows over the hunter's head now but it is still being cast on whoever you are supposed to be casting it on.
Hm but sometimes I see the little "Square-buff" on my buffs when I misdirect. And yeah sorry about that, didnt cross my mind at the time to show the macros im using, hold on.
Misdirect on FOCUS: /cast [target=focus,help][help][target=pet,exists,nodead]Misdirection
Misdirect to PET: #showtooltip /target pet /cast misdirection /targetlasttarget
there you go
EDIT: Hm, okay this is confusing. The "Buff" on me says "Redirecting threat" what the hell does that mean? I mean, theres no buff or debuff or anything on my pet or on the tanks when I use it so now im scared to put that thing on cause iono if im the one grabbing the threat or whatever I threw that to.
Misdirection does put up a buff on the hunter--this allows you to count the remaining charges. (Have they changed that yet? I haven't really been keeping up-to-date on Hunter stuff.)
I'm fairly certain that you'll error out on the focus one if you don't already have a focus set, so add an exists clause in there to be sure. The pet one should work fine.
And I believe Misdirection was changed with 3.3 to the timer system like Tricks of the Trade, Isyris.

Cool beans. :)
Yeah, I just barely downloaded the patch last night, and didn't feel like reading through the notes. Hubby's youngest brother just started playing and we offered to roll up new toons on his server to help him out. Low-level priest sucks so far. :(

Smite Spec GO! (3 points in Shadow, 13 in Disc for meditation, then into holy for surge of light and get Smite glyph a.s.a.p.)

Hehe, I think I might actually try that. I'm guessing the three Shadow points are for Spirit Tap?
Hmm, I'm not actually sure what the plan is. I think we're all getting to 20ish and then grouping up, so it might be useful anyway... and if I'm in a group, I'm most likely going to get stuck healing. Warrior, Hunter, Druid and Priest is what it's looking like. If Jon's brother hits 30ish before I get a chance to play more, I might just transfer an alt to his server and be lazy, but I kind of want a Priest. Hmm...
You probably won't have to heal much at all outside of instances, where smite spec will suffice easily. And if you're not getting the killing blows spirit tap does nothing so it's wasted, if you get a good amount of the killing blows it rocks. But with more people the amount of KB's you'll get will drop significantly so going for 50% mana regen while casting a.s.a.p. is more effecient.
Edit: and priests are great fun imo. If you don't have access to heirlooms you do need to make sure to keep your wand up to date though as you'll be using it quite often.
Wands are the best thing for low level casters. On my priest, before they upgraded the mana regen, it was smite to pull, pain, wand till dead. No mana problems. If you get an extra mob or two you still have mana to heal. But keep your wand updated.
Holy fire is a nice little spell when you get that. I haven't been holy in a while, but I belive it puts a debuff of some sort on your target still.
I got my priest to level 7 before giving up for now... I just couldn't kill anything. >.< I know, I suck.
I'm leveling a holy pally for the group now, with Enchanting and Tailoring, so when I pick up the priest again she will have pretty dresses to wear and nice wands to play with. ;) I do still want to try priest, but it will be a lot easier with a higher-level toon to supply whatever she needs.
Aeth, if I'm actually leveling my priest purely with your druid (which sounds very appealing, if you're up for it), I might consider respeccing to a pure healing spec. What do you say?
Edit: Apart from the fact that I don't have Heirlooms and you do, so I suppose I have to fill some gaps there.
A pure healing spec isn't going to be much different from a smite spec leveling build. Except that you won't take the 3 points in spirit tap. You'll still want to grab searing light and smite glyph so you can solo decently.
Something like this to work towards and then further in holy until you can get Penance because Penance is sickeningly good.
Unless I go crazy you probably won't have many issues keeping me alive anyway
I didn't ask you for a spec, and I realise there's not that much difference anyway, what I meant was that I don't need to solo if I do 70% of my leveling instancing with you and 30% in BGs. I suppose Smite spec would be better for BGs, at least. And I don't plan on respeccing right now.
