In an attempt to liven up the rogue forums, I've decided to make a thread in which we pick a "regular" rogue poster, and they them us about themselves. This week I want to get to know ThomasMagnum. So here is a list of questions I have. Please answer whatever questions you feel comfortable with.

Where are you from?

What year did you graduate High School, or when do you graduate High School?

Did you play any sports?

Are you married?

Do you have any kids?

How long have you lurked, and how long have you posted here at Zam?

What are your favorite hobbies outside of WoW?

What are your favorite sports teams, if any?

Any other random information you would like to give can be added. If you want to provide us with a pic of yourself, go for it. Inquiring minds want to know about YOU, Thomas.

Edit: I made the age old "rouge" mistake, once. Sorry.

This could be interesting. Seeing as we're all jerks on here, I wonder if we end up all being cuddly softies in real-life.

Theo only flames certain posters, for the most part. Also, he only flames them for moronic posts. After you have posted solid information for awhile, he doesn't really bother with you. Mental would be the only person I would worry about. Haha.

We're waiting, Thomas. Add the questions from samperor, too.

Edit: Oh yeah, if Theo decides to flame, I'll just reveal some information about him that will crush his ego.

Nice idea. Socialising during the information down times. I've mostly been a reader, rather than a poster, in the rogue section but it'll be interesting to get to know the people here.

I've been thinking about this thread some, and I realize that, since I started the thread, I should go first. So, here it goes:

Where are you from? I'm from Dallas, Texas. I lived in Spartanburg, S.C. for 6 months my sophomore year in High School, but moved back quikly.

What year did you graduate High School, or when do you graduate High School? I graduated high school in 2002.

Did you play any sports? I played Tightend/Linebacker in High School, and I was on the golf team.

Are you married? Not yet. Engaged, though.

Do you have any kids? Not yet.

How long have you lurked, and how long have you posted here at Zam? June 10, 2008 was my first post, but I lurked for a few years before I posted. I remember the wow site having "for the horde" and "for the alliance" forums.

What are your favorite hobbies outside of WoW? Golf, I don't play WoW anymore, either.

What are your favorite sports teams, if any? Texas Longhorns, Dallas Cowboys, San Antonio Spurs.

Favorite battleground/instance + reason. My favorite bg is AB. I like AB because when I first started playing the game, that is the bg we would play as a guild nightly. Of course, that was back when there were titles for it. My favorite instance is SM. It has a lot of different bosses, but I like how it is broken up into different sections.

Most memorable moment in PVE and PVP. I think PVE would be when I got my first two pieces of t4 on my lock. I got them both the same night, so it was pretty awesome. Oh the days of Kara. In pvp, other than the guild bgs when I was a low level hunter, it would have to be my gladiator title from s3. There were so many awesome matches that I can't name just one, but the whole season was awesome.

Favourite game / console / genre besides WoW? I'd say my all time favorite games are the Madden games. Xbox 360 is my favorite console, right now, but SNES has to be my all time favorite. Sports games are probably my favorite genre, even though I play FPS's a lot.

I've posted pictures of myself, and my fiancee, so that has been done. Even though I don't play WoW anymore, I continue to lurk/post these forums just to keep in touch with our small "family" that we have here. Some of us know each other pretty well, even though we haven't had a lot of conversations. I like the atmosphere here at zam, and we need to get the rogue forums going.

Yeah, if a person is suggested to answer anything they'd like so we can get to know them, that's up to them. It's not like Feyras will stalk them or anything...

Nice info, Feyras =).

I normally don't post very often, but I would like to change that so I'm going to go ahead and do all the questions!

Where are you from? Born in Newport News, Virginia. I currently live in Dallas, Texas.

What year did you graduate High School, or when do you graduate High School? Graduated in 2008.

Did you play any sports? I ran track and played basketball.

Are you married? No...

Do you have any kids? Nope.

How long have you lurked, and how long have you posted here at Zam? I lurked the FFXI forums for a few years, quit that and lurked the WoW forums ever since.

What are your favorite sports teams, if any? Any of the Dallas/Texas teams. Also a fan of St. Mary's college basketball team cause one of my high school teammates is there.

Favorite battleground/instance + reason. I love WSG, but I got started in WSG and have loved it ever since. Me and my friend level RAF duo's that are also decent partners in PVP.

Most memorable moment in PVE and PVP. Was actually last night in WSG, the horde had our flag out on their little ledge outside of their base above the front tunnel, by the graveyard, guarding it with about 6 people. I was stealthed up behind them kind of watching, far enough back so they couldn't detect me. Then they ran across to the other side and most of the of them left down the ramp to get their flag back. There were two left, some guy and a dude with the flag. I sap'd the guy, then killed the flag carrier and returned it. It felt intense but it was fun!

Favourite game / console / genre besides WoW? Call of duty series are my favorite at the moment. X-box 360! I love all FPS and RPG games, the Zelda game's being my favorite all-time.

http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj10/Xitragupten09/WoWScrnShot_112509_231526.jpg
That's the group that was there before they ran off and I sap'd the one guy and killed the flag carrier.

http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj10/Xitragupten09/WoWScrnShot_112509_233131.jpg
Thats the result of one of the games!

Before I'm asked, I figured I'd answer now... before I miss it, because I'm sure I will...

Where are you from? Florida... Where we still run away from hurricanes and can't make up our mind on what the weather will be like!

What year did you graduate High School, or when do you graduate High School? 2004

Did you play any sports? Nope. I'm a lazy ****. Used to do karate way back when, but other than that, I was a nerd in school.

Are you married? Nope

Do you have any kids? Not any time soon.

How long have you lurked, and how long have you posted here at Zam? Oh man, I don't know. A few years now. I'm too sleepy to look up my first post.

What are your favorite hobbies outside of WoW? I don't really have time at the moment to do much with working full time and going to school. But I should be getting my degree this semester so hopefully it'll lighten up

What are your favorite sports teams, if any? Honestly, I don't have any.

Favorite battleground/instance + reason. I'm not too big into BGs. Instance wise there's a few. I like Zul'Farak, Maraudon is nice as well. There's quite a few that are appealing to my eyes.

Most memorable moment in PVE and PVP. Most likely (not very original) when I first dinged 70 on my rogue. I was excited (started not too long before BC so I was still working on leveling her when BC hit).

Favourite game / console / genre besides WoW? There's a few... Fable... Oblivion... CoD... Battlefield. Haven't played annything in a while though.

As for photos, let me look:

Me

I think that's the most recent photo of me... tired as usual lol

Ok.

Live in Scottsdale, AZ. Grew up in Plano, TX and Cleveland, OH.

I'm also a golfer - been working in the golf biz for 5+ years now. ~9-10 handicap depending on if I've had time to ***** up my swing

Graduated from Univ. of Dayton marketing

not married no kids. anything that drools out two holes is not my bag.

Not sure how long I've been on zam, not long enough to curb my lack of pvp skill

Cleveland Frowns and the Cavs baby.

Don't have a fav. BG, but I'm honor farming again b/c I'm on a decent arena team, so I see lots of all of them.

I'm a generally nice guy w/ little tolerance for ignorance. Aside from that, cheers!

I don't know if I count as a regular, but this rogue place barely gets any posts anyways, so I guess I'll give it a go.

Where are you from?
I currently live in Portland, Oregon.

What year did you graduate High School, or when do you graduate High School?
Way back in '98

Did you play any sports?
In highschool I did soccer and running for track. I wasn't great at either, but it was something to do. :p

Are you married?
Nope

Do you have any kids?
Npe

How long have you lurked, and how long have you posted here at Zam?
I went and checked, and my first post was from Sept. 14, 2004. Woe!

What are your favorite hobbies outside of WoW?
Painting

What are your favorite sports teams, if any?
I don't really watch any sports

Favorite battleground/instance + reason.
For some reason I find myself going to AB a lot when I pvp. It's just the right amount of team cooperation and enough people to feel like a brawl. WSG is too small, AV can be too big. SotA is gimmicky but fun once in a while to go jump in some vehicles and splat people. Wintergrasp can be fun, but as alliance it gets frustrating to know you can't 1v1 any horde.

For instances, I enjoy CoS for the lore, being in old Strathome, and it's just a fun designed instance. Pre-plague is really the most interesting time in the warcraft lore for me, I wish they'd make all of the kingdom of Lorderon in its pre-plague glory in the caverns of time. I'd love to go explore all the cheery verdant villages.

[i]Most memorable moment in PVE and PVP.

Not too many singularly memorable moments. A few triumphs guarding a flag or being in a successful assault. In PvE getting my violet proto drake was a big triumph. I missed out on the thanksgiving achivement now though because I was out of town visiting parents... I'm scared.

Favourite game / console / genre besides WoW?
I enjoy the rpg games some, I also like racing simulator games. Right now Forza3 is the king of the genre, but my 360 RRODed ; ; Second time this has happened, what crap. The Civilization series of games is also great fun. I still find myself playing Civ4 from time to time. I've never been a fan of FPS games.

Any other random information you would like to give can be added.

Thanks for sharing, Thomas and Digital.

You grew up in Plano, Thomas? Wow, that's rough. Haha.

I made the switch from Xbox to the PS3, Digital. I really have enjoyed it, thus far. The online play is free, too.

It's been quite some time since I've posted, but I've been lurking every now and then. I guess I'll break my silence and add to this post.

Where are you from? California

What year did you graduate High School? High school?? LMAO. I'm an old guy. I can't even remember High School. Just finished up my Masters Degree though, at Syracuse University.

Do you play any sports? Tennis (an old guy sport)

Are you married? Yes

Do you have any kids? Three.

How long have you lurked, and how long have you posted here at Zam? Approximately 3 years.

Favorite hobbies outside of WoW? Photography, building web sites, anything Internet related.

Favorite sports teams, if any? Steelers baby!

Favorite battleground/instance + reason: Favorite Instance, BRD, because it's like something out of one of my recurring dreams. Favorite BG is still AV (I still have fond memories of classic Wow).

Most memorable moment in PVP. One time I was up against and Warrior and a Warlock in AB at the lumber Mill. It wasn't looking good for me. Mid fight I jumped off the cliff. The Warrior (in classic form) followed me, right as I shadowstepped back to the Warlock to finished him off. Capped the flag before the Warrior could make it back up the hill, and we won the game.

Favourite game / console / genre besides WoW? Dragon Age.

I'm not a huge regular in the rogue corner here but I do play rogue so I'll contribute ...

Where are you from?:
I live in Melbourne, Australia.

What year did you graduate High School?:
Graduated in 2001

Did you play any sports?:
Only when I had to. I'm not against playing sports but I don't specifically go out of my way to do it.

Are you married?:
No. In a very happy relationship though.

Do you have any kids?:
No, I just like practicing to make them.

How long have you lurked, and how long have you posted here at Zam?:
My first post was made in the hunter area on June 23rd, 2006 but I was lurking here for about five months before then.

What are your favorite hobbies outside of WoW?:
Writing, painting, reading.

What are your favorite sports teams, if any?:
I don't really follow any sport teams too closely. If I had to pick one, I'd go with the Australian cricket team.

Favorite battleground/instance + reason:
AB, for the same reason that digitalcraft gave. It's a nice, solid skirmish without feeling overstuffed. As for instances, it's gotta be Stratholme, for reasons of lore. I started playing WoW without having played any previous Warcraft game. It wasn't until well into my WoW career that I found a cheap copy of WC3 and played through it - and suddenly everything seemed to take on a new meaning. I could now recognise names like Andorhal, I understood the presence of meat wagons in the blood elf Ghostlands and the history of the Plaguelands became all the more poignant, regardless of having read the quest texts already, in the past.

Most memorable moment in PVE and PVP:
For PvE it was probably the creation of my dwarf hunter. I'd played with a few characters before then and had fun leveling up to around the 20's but he was the first character where I felt that click of everything feeling right. Like he was meant to be. For PvP I'd say it's a WSG session with my girlfriend. She got into battlegrounds to see what they were like and was discouraged by her inexperience for the first few rounds and was sure she'd be terrible at it. A couple of hours later, she's pulling off three flag caps amidst Hell, with me following behind to heal her. It was epic to see her so excited.

Favourite game / console / genre besides WoW?:
I haven't moved onto any other consoles after the PS2. I just don't think I have the time for all I like to do in life + WoW and + another gaming console to play for hours on end again. In terms of absolute retro favourites, I'd have to say that the Super Nintendo or the Nintendo 64 have been my favourite consoles so far. I mostly try to go for RPGs because they tend to have to widest spectrum of interesting content. FPS are awesome too but there are only a small handful of titles in that genre from all time that stick in my head. I have started playing X-Men Legends II: Rise of Apocalypse again on the PS2 and it's reminded me of what a great game that is

Any other random information you would like to give can be added:
I used to be bass guitarist in a band duo called The Sleeptalkers.

Yes, I have small, girly hands. Don't mess with me.
