Yeah, that's right, I've a convert. From what I hear you ask! Well from anything that's not druid to... you guessed it: druid!
Perhaps I should start over, for years I've played this game, I started with a paladin, moved to a priest, moved back to my paladin, moved to a shaman, moved back to my paladin, yes, you'll notice the love affair with paladins. Druids, as far as I was concerned, were played by slightly eccentric hippies, I think that no more!
I should explain here, all of the druid players I've known are slightly crazy, no seriously. One guy I remember used to run around pre-raid in bear and chase all the critters yelling obscene anti-critter rhetoric over vent, another would only heal me if I stroked her leaves pre-pull (that is not a euphemism).
I've played druids, surely I have, I counted them up while writing this post, dotted around over 6 servers I have 8 pre-teen and teen level druids. Maybe I was doinitrong but I've never managed to get beyond the bear quest really. I've watched for years druids on this forum and in game rave about their cats, their bears, their flight form and of all the classes (except maybe hunters with their pets) the druids are the ones who seem to become most attached to their toons.
I could never see the attraction, but, what with so many druid posters being people whose opinion I respected, coupled with this burning desire to run Darkshore again before it was buried beneath the sea I decided to give them a decent shot.
Now I see why.
After putting in 7 levels on Sunday to get to level 20! Wow! Wahey. Cat, cat, kitty cat, rocks my world.
I can look at things and they die, murlocs don't get chance to run off to their friends, they're lucky if they get to take a step in fear. It's a non-stop fever of pulling and pulling, of levelling, things have never gone this quickly.
Thank you Mr and Mrs druids for reading my "you were right" post, but you were. You deserved it. But please, tell me when I start doing odd and eccentric things, until then I'm just a wannabe druid.
