I'm a kitty, hear me roar...!Follow

Yeah, that's right, I've a convert. From what I hear you ask! Well from anything that's not druid to... you guessed it: druid!

Perhaps I should start over, for years I've played this game, I started with a paladin, moved to a priest, moved back to my paladin, moved to a shaman, moved back to my paladin, yes, you'll notice the love affair with paladins. Druids, as far as I was concerned, were played by slightly eccentric hippies, I think that no more!
I should explain here, all of the druid players I've known are slightly crazy, no seriously. One guy I remember used to run around pre-raid in bear and chase all the critters yelling obscene anti-critter rhetoric over vent, another would only heal me if I stroked her leaves pre-pull (that is not a euphemism).

I've played druids, surely I have, I counted them up while writing this post, dotted around over 6 servers I have 8 pre-teen and teen level druids. Maybe I was doinitrong but I've never managed to get beyond the bear quest really. I've watched for years druids on this forum and in game rave about their cats, their bears, their flight form and of all the classes (except maybe hunters with their pets) the druids are the ones who seem to become most attached to their toons.

I could never see the attraction, but, what with so many druid posters being people whose opinion I respected, coupled with this burning desire to run Darkshore again before it was buried beneath the sea I decided to give them a decent shot.

Now I see why.

After putting in 7 levels on Sunday to get to level 20! Wow! Wahey. Cat, cat, kitty cat, rocks my world.

I can look at things and they die, murlocs don't get chance to run off to their friends, they're lucky if they get to take a step in fear. It's a non-stop fever of pulling and pulling, of levelling, things have never gone this quickly.

Thank you Mr and Mrs druids for reading my "you were right" post, but you were. You deserved it. But please, tell me when I start doing odd and eccentric things, until then I'm just a wannabe druid.

Yesss, yesss, the plan is coming together just nicely. Soon, my children. Soon, we shall rule the world of inanimate objects on parade.

Wait, what?

It's funny because Horsemouth sounds just like I think when I'm drunk. I need a bear.

And a beer.

Thanks for the welcome and the awesome Druid 202, which not only has details but actual facts.

Mangle? Is that like some ability which makes things drop dead in fear before they even see me? Sweet Smiley: nod

Yes, yes I know what mangle just my version sounds better.

Druids truly do get better and better as you level. I used to think the experienced druids who said "cats eat face" were krazy (intending to use a k there, btw), but they are right. Stealth is the bomb, don't get me wrong, but now you don't really need to use it! In the old world I would stealth around and let a mob have it. Felt great! Now, I pull with FFF and they're dead in a couple of swipes of my cat's claws. I eat ur face! Rawr!

It's a blast. I love my druid, and I'm one who tried them in the past and didn't like them.

It's funny, because here I'm considered the "nice guy" who farts bubbles and cough candyfloss all day long, but in the real world people often tell me that I'm evil.

Isn't it usually the other way around?

Bears RAWR better!

This is my current forum sig:
All on Dath'Remar (Oceanic):
Five 80s, and working on number 6 (altaholism is a sickness):
Holy Priest | Tankadin | Aff-lock | BM Hunter | Titan's Grip Warrior

... but it needs some updating.
Toon number 6 is a druid, and he recently dinged 80, he would have to be up near the top of most fun classes to play.
I'm gearing him up as a tank, I'm about half blues/iLvl200 epics at the moment. I have some Tournament stuff (like the staff), drops from Brewfest and the Horseman, plus the tier shoulders from Naxx10. Farming the hell out of ToC is next on my list.
I run with a hybrid kitty/bear spec (0/60/11), so I can go kitty through some heroics for badges, and do semi-decent DPS. Not quite geared enough to tank yet.

Kitty absolutely rocks for soloing.
That's my story. Thanks for reading.

I can really relate to this post. After two years of creeping around as a sneaky rogue and getting bored with same old rotations I am now liberated by actually having to think about what I am doing. Ok so I am only level 63 and know that I will have to make a few difficult choices very soon as gearing becomes more critical but hey I just LOVE this character and never get bored! Druids rock!

What level are you up to now, MrCoco? Druid only gets better and better as you go, so I'm sure by now you're having a blast with it =) I like them so much, I've got three...

I also like blueberry pancakes (omnomnom).

edit: It's nearly 6am and my spelling is suffering.
