My Paladin.
I'm in the process of regemming and I of course want to stay above my 540 def. My def is 542 and I want to ditch a +8def/+12stam for +30 stam in my ring. Will that drop me below 540?

-8 Defense Rating should translate into roughly -2 Defense. So you should be OK.
If you want to double check, I believe you need exactly 689 defense rating at level 80 to be crit immune. Just make sure your's doesn't go below that.

If you get ratingbuster it would show you the exact amount. It saves e alot of time when gemming and switching gear out and its a great addon overall i recommend it to everyone.
