T10 Holy Set BonusFollow

Is it just me or does Blizzard really hate paladin healers? It seems that every other healer gets a pretty good set bonus every time except us.

Just for comparison sake:

Item - Druid T10 Restoration 2P Bonus - The healing granted by your Wild Growth spell reduces 0% less over time.
Item - Druid T10 Restoration 4P Bonus (Rejuvenation) - Each time your Rejuvenation spell heals a target, it has a 2% chance to jump to a new target at full duration.

Item - Priest T10 Healer 2P Bonus - After your Pain Suppression and Guardian Spirit talents expire on your target, they grant your target 10% increased healing received for 10 sec.
Item - Priest T10 Healer 4P Bonus - Your Flash Heal spell has a 15% chance to reset the cooldown on your Circle of Healing and Penance Spells.

Item - Shaman T10 Restoration 2P Bonus - Your Riptide spell grants 20% spell haste for your next spellcast.
Item - Shaman T10 Restoration 4P Bonus - Your Chain Heal critical strikes cause the target to heal for 25% of the healed amount over until cancelled.

Item - Paladin T10 Holy 2P Bonus - The cooldown on your Divine Favor talent is reduced by 60 sec.
Item - Paladin T10 Holy 4P Bonus - Your Holy Shock spell causes the next Holy Light you cast within 10 sec to have 0.3 sec reduced cast time.

The shaman and druid set bonuses are pretty damn good, imho. The disc priest 4pc bonus is also amazing. Ours, on the other hand, is just meh. I don't know about you guys, but I hardly cast Divine Favor (even doing heroic or hard modes). The 4pc is alright, if you add in the fact that now we are trying to move into getting more haste. I know with the gear I currently have holy light will be on the order of the same cast time as a FoL. It is nice, but still nothing like the shaman and druid set bonuses.

Yay divine favour... one extra crit every two minutes. Isnt that ******* fantastic?

And I dont know about other Paladin healers, but the vast majority of the time I am casting Flash of Light and Holy Shock, I may throw in the odd holy light when its needed, but 0.3 seconds shorter cast every 6 seconds at the most... thats useless. We used to have Infusion of Light giving us 0.5 second shorter casts.

The current 4 piece bonus is so immense that the new one was always going to be disappointing but that is just awful.

An on-demand crit is insanely different from a random crit.

That 4 piece you can make a better argument of it being totally mediocre though.

I'm of the thought that I like set bonuses being more mediocre then insane. It gives you more variety in certain gear upgrades. I think the perfect set bonus would force decisions in your gearing. Lets say 232 tier vs. 239 non set pieces. The decision to wear 4pc tier or 4pc non set should be about equal IMO, tier shouldn't blow that non set out of the water like a handful of sets clearly do.

I like it.

It is not insanely powerful but you can DF, Holy Shock and probably put out a less than one second HL. With beacon on a tank, HL glyph and combined healing that is pretty beast.

An update, from MMO-Champ..

Quote:
Paladin
2 piece bonus - While your Divine Illumination talent is active, your healing spells are increased by 35%.
4 piece bonus - Your Holy Shock spell causes the next Holy Light you cast within 10 sec to have 0.3 sec reduced cast time.

I got all giddy inside, when I read the 2p bonus.. :D

To be fair, the old Infusion of Light benefit only procc'ed from Holy Shock CRITS. This 4pc bonus would be a .3 second reduction after every Holy Shock and not dependent on whether it crit or not. If you're casting a fair number of Holy Shocks and an occasional Holy Light, this is the equivalent of a very nice boost to your haste--and likely at the moments when it's more likely to be of value than not.

meh, more overhealing, maybe, but if used right, this means those times when there's spike damage that requires HL spam, that spam can be easier to manage and more effective. 4pc will see a lot of use for many pallys, but the 2 pc will likely only see very situational use... i honestly often forget i even have that... rarely have enough mana problems to think i need 50% cheaper heals for a few secs....

Well if you ever have an issue with popping Divine Plea then needing to heal you can pop Divine Illumination and it will cover 35%. For a 2 piece it is not bad, also you usually pop Divine Illume around times when you need to bomb heal so it will be sexy in that say you bomb heal a melee the splash from HL glyph is going to hit those around him for a bunch, and that probably won't be overhealing if they all took damage.

Still looking much better than Tier 9 where you have to be an idiot to go full 9.5, since the bonus is sh'it and the off set pieces have much better stats.

I felt bad to break my 4T8 last night, especially for non-set pieces. T9 would have been far less painful.

T10, though, looks pretty nice. It just depends on how close to impossible it'll be for me to get the tokens with my guild. Trophies? No. T9 tokens? HAH!

I like these bonuses. The 2p is pretty cool and easier to get (2 vs 4). I'm satsified.
