Im not trolling stating simple fact. Hug has no meaning to 99% of MMO players in the sense it was used. All games use similar terms, in this instance saying stack on the tank or group on the tank would have solved all the problems. Hug is used in terms of nearing an inanimate object, such as "Hug the Wall". I have never once heard anyone refer to hugging a player as a term to stack in any mmo I have played, ever. Im not trying to make so and so feel bad. Im stating a fact that they are not 100% guilt free, and if they are going to QQ about something that was avoidable then they should at least make sure they are 100% guilt free before calling everyone else retards. I agree there is some stupidity, but honestly wtf is hug the tank, use real game terminology so people know wtf you mean right away and don't have to guess at what the hell you are talking about.
Seriously, not to sound rude or anything, but are you slow? I already mentioned that "hugging the tank" is a commonly used term on my server. I've been doing A LOT of heroics lately and the term is always "hug the tank" or "stand the f*ck closer together" - since I'm not prone to cursing in the game, I prefer the former.
The whole point to my thread wasn't that they misunderstood "hug the tank", because, seriously, they didn't. If they misunderstood it, then they'd be wearing their pants as hats, which, depending on their display settings, might've been the case, I'm not to say. The point was that they ignored the healer and then berated the same healer for not keeping them alive. Whether I said "hug the tank" or "stack on the tank" or "stand the f*ck closer" is completely beside the point. If it'll make you feel better in your tummy, I'll happily go back and edit my posts so it says "stack on the tank", but then I'm sure you'd find something else to berate me for.
Irony is humoristic enough to have you whine about me whining about someone whining about me.
Sometimes you just have to laugh.
Ps. If I had used "stack on the tank" instead of "hug on the tank", chances are just as many people in the group wouldn't have understood it. Sometimes you need to write something fast and you don't have time to write stuff like "Okay, chaps, you're taking a lot of AOE damage right now and you are standing too far away from one another to receive full benefit from my Wild Growth, thus adding to the already increasing stress factor of having to spam-heal five people who are all out of range of each other. Would you please move a little closer to the tank or the boss, preferably close enough for my Wild Growth to hit you all? The optimal range would be 15 yards from the tank, thank you. And yes, I am quite sure I know what I am talking about, because I am the one healing this crap."
And chances are,
if I macro'd that wall of text and used it instead of "hug the tank!" three out of the four people in the group would just go "tl;dr" and the fourth would be like "soory i greek". I kid you not.
