Hi friendly neighborhood admins,

I'm finding myself responding to a lot of "fresh 80 rogue, how do i do xyz?" threads with a link to a short rogue guide I posted a while back.
http://wow.allakhazam.com/db/class.html?wclass=4&mid=125080937172615700&num=17&page=1

I was wondering if you could perhaps sticky this with the title changed to Rogue Guide: Updated 9/14/09 (3.2.xx).

Thanks for all your hard work on our forums!

You need to post in the =3 forum for a sticky.

And apperantly there can only be 3 stickies in a (sub)forum at a time, so yours would have to replace one. Not sure which one of them are outdated here and which ones are not.

Thanks for the correction Theo and Moz.

Why not, Teddy? Is it not large enough?

I'm not sure what Teddy's opinion is on the subject, but I personally don't think there is enough information for it to replace an existing sticky.

I see the point behind your thread, but it won't stop the same questions being asked in new threads all of the time. Look down the first page, or two if you want, and you will see a lot of the same questions asked in different threads. Someone created a thread like yours a while back (Banatu, I think), and it didn't help the situation either.

In my opinion, a sticky should be filled full of the same type of information that is in the current one. However, you could request to have up-dated information added into the old sticky by either:

A) Typing up the new information and asking Theo to edit the post.

B) Typing up the new information and having an admin edit it into the post.

I'm not saying your thread is a bad idea, but it isn't enough information to have a sticky taken away for it.

Thanks for your detailed explanation- that's a good idea and more useful than 'no thanks'.

If we sticky anythign it should be a compendium of rogue links.

EJ, Shadowpanther(if its still useful), various threads from the rogue forums, mechanics pages from WoWwiki etc...

I should have a lot of time coming up so if need be I can write something up. Hell, doesn't even need to be a sticky, just bumping it to the top daily would work.

I'd be happy to edit my Compendium with anything you guys type up.

Hell, you can even just rip my formatting and what I've written and just edit that. It'd probably make it a whole lot easier.

I've been saying it since my information started to go obsolete; if you want me to change something, PM it to me and I'll happily change it.

I give full permission to rip my own posts to put your new information in, too.

Maybe just paste the relevant parts of my post to the correct sections in yours. I don't care if you give credit but I feel obliged to answer people's threads and it's wasting my time. D:
