Advice needed for H Old KingdomFollow

Ok, you know the fight where you have to fight your own group at one point ???

My group had DK, warrior(tank), mage and tree druid.

KICKED my ***, twice.

Couldn't get any of them down before the two melee's or one melee and mage took me out.

Advice pls, or just expect to die on this fight? I've never done this as strictly a ranged fight class, so don't laugh too hard. On my healer, bear, or lock, it's a no brainer. On my hunter I was clueless how to survive this fight with the above set up.

Here's how I do it: freezing arrow on the healer (since she won't move and avoid it) and wyvern on whichever other party member you think will give you the most trouble. You can use your pet to keep another busy, and then burn down the last target before your cc breaks. The trick is to keep the healer cc'd the entire time and not give her a chance to heal at all.

I'm usually the first to finish off my group, so then I help the others too. :)

Lady isyris pretty much hit the nail on the head. The only thing I do differently is kill the healer first and CC the rest. In the set up you mentioned, I'd drop a freezing trap at my feet for the first melee to get to me, put pet on the second, wyvern the mage and burn the healer. The order I go with is healer, ranged, melee DPS then tank.

If you were in a melee heavy group dropping a frost trap and kiting them while burning the healer works well too.

go for the healer, and drop a frost trap, kite them around...

Although, I always go for myself first, because I'm such a badass rofl

I would second the notion of breaking the healer out first -- if I'm not mistaken, you can be broken out of your illusion early if every other group member kills your character in their nightmare. Thus getting the healer out will generally afford the group the best odds of survival.

I generally dislike running H OK though...so I don't do it often enough to appreciate one method over another. The trash and overall boss mechanics are just really annoying on the whole.

Never heard that before, but if it is indeed the case then it seems like the best thing to do.

I always kill the healer last just because I'm lazy and the healer is generally the easiest one to keep CC'd the whole time. Smiley: tongue

That's fair, and not entirely unorthodox; it just potentially increases risk to the other members since they won't be getting heals.

The thing that really amuses me about that fight is that the illusion ignores shapeshift mechanics, so you have bears/cats spamming rejuv and lifebloom. Smiley: tongue
