I'm a new player, rolled a Shaman, just hit level 10 and have a question about the order in which I should allocate my talent points. I want to go elemental to level up. For now I will level mostly solo and PvE, but when I hit the level where I can do instances in a group I would like to do as much of that as possible, both for the gear and to get a better sense of how to play a shaman in a group.
With the above in mind, I'd appreciate any thoughts on the best order in which to allocate tier 1 points for an elemental build? I've looked around and found several examples of elemental builds. They all seem to have the following tier 1 talents in common:
* 5/5 convection
* 5/5 concussion
* 5/5 ancestral knowledge
Some also allocate 3/3 to enhancing totems.
In light of what I'm looking to do, which method of allocating points would be best for the next several levels (up to level 20 or so)?
* Spread out the points among all of the tier 1 talents as I level up (e.g., when I reach level 10 put a point in concussion, at level 11 put a point in convection, and so on like that at each level until I max each of the tier 1 talents); or
* At each level max the points in one talent (e.g., at each of levels 10 to 14 put 1 point into concussion) and then move on to the next talent and max that one out (e.g., after putting all 5 possible points in concussion then move to convection and do all 5 points)?
If the latter, in what order should I max out each talent?
Any suggestions, advice, opinions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
