I'm kinda depressed about the t9 set bonuses for the disc/holy priests.
Our 2set is a 2 second deduction in our PoM CD -_- wow... The four set is the same as the 2set bonus for t8, a 10% increased chance our PoH will crit *sigh*

I haven't even received my t8 yet (my guild has had a run of bad signs-ups) so it isn't like t9 is right around the corner for me, but really blizzard?? 2sec off my PoM that I cast once every 15-20 seconds... There is just no real need to be casting it once every 8 seconds, that is what CoH is for, PoM is the "cast and watch till it goes away" spell. I'd rather see a second or two decrease on CoH/PoH, or the extra jump on PoM, which was great for AoE/random dmg fights...

Looks like when the tier does drop I'll be passing it over to the holy pallies =/

Sry of the QQ I am just not very excited with how blizzard is rushing us into the new content (that I fear will get very boring fast) and how they are changing the PVE portion of the game.

On the other hand, the shadow set bonuses looks pretty decent.

Blizz has already announced that some of the set bonuses are placeholders. They themselves said the 4-piece bonus was worse than the T8 2-piece and that it wont go live. All the info that is out is datamined and not all of it is accurate.

Gotta take some of this stuff with a grain of salt.

Source?

Do hope that's true anyway, these bonuses stink.

I would have to say that it makes more sense that they would be place holders. If they are what set bonuses would you like to see on the gear?

I though that too, then I thought a bit more about the +6 seconds to DP. I could only think of a few benefits from it:

1.)Short fights where DP wears off, but isn't worth it to put another one on

2.) Having to cast it less frequently. I a long fight, it will probably be a mana saver/GCB reducer, but it would take 3~5 casts (I can't remembered the exact duration) to 'save' 1 cast otherwise.

3.) Extra time with cast buffs. (Inner Focus, Temporary Damage boosts, etc.)

4.) if the cooldown stays the same, we could have some 'double coverage' on 2 mobs...

My point is, from how I see it now, +15% DP damage is more of a boost to DPS and generally more useful. Not to be cyclical (or QQ), but I can't great benefits from it.

I'm curious as to other people's thoughts on the shadow set.

Edit:

Things I would like to see, maybe...

-Reduction on Shadowfiend CD (30s or something)
-Reduction on MB CD (1 secondish)
-Damage Boost to SW:P
-Chance Bonus Crit/Haste proc on xxx spell cast
-Extra debuff added to Misery (more damage, less avoidance, something)
-Mind Sear does damage to target as well (who knows what the new content brings)
-Mind Flay bonus from spelldamage gear

those are a few I could think of...

The source was from MMO Champion. I cant remember which thread I read it in but somewhere in the thousands of posts of QQ/Speculation there was a brief blue post explaining that placeholders are often used when something isnt ready to be unveiled (kinda like how they are using T8 for the appearance, since they havent designed how it will look yet). Wish I could find it again, but I was tired when I read it and cant remember which thread it was in.

It makes alot of sense though, since the set bonuses for pretty much everyone are enormously underwhelming

Priest
Priest T9 Healing 2P Bonus - Increases the healing done by your Prayer of Mending spell by 20%.
Priest T9 Healing 4P Bonus - Increases the shield from your Divine Aegis and the instant healing from your Empowered Renew by 10%.

I did not see anything on the shadow set, but MUCH better! :) I really don't use renew much as holy, just for tanks and those with a stack debuff... I may just stick with t8 two set and t9 two set.

The 2 part shadow set bonus is now an additional 6 seconds on VT as opposed to DP. This is nice seing as how VT is a much shorter dot than DP to begin with meaning we save more global cooldowns out of this change.

The 4p looks interesting, I'll have to save complete judgment for later

Does anyone know if this changes the spell to 40% of the amount healed or if its 10% of the shield itself? One is pretty nice, one is awful.

Just some quick math with 10% more

3000 flash = 300

7000 flash = 700

But if it’s just 10% of the shield gain

3000 flash is 900 bubble 10% of that is 90 (loss of 210)
7000 flash is 2100 bubble 10% of that is 210 (loss of 490)

Haven't been holy much but my renews are always snipped by aoe healers

That being said I do like that 2p and I have no idea yet which items I want to use and how quickly to break the T8 (which I don't have and maybe never will...RnG can go sit in a corner)

I bought the shoulders just because I had a trophy and the badges, awesome planning right? =P

Sometime next week I’m going to run into a problem…unless I finally get a 4p for my tier8

Hopefully with our 4p set bonus blizzard will work on a way to track absorbs better.
