Druid Changes in 3.2 according to www.mmo-champion.com

Quote:
* Flight Form: Can now be learned at level 60. Flight speed increased to 150%.
* Innervate: Duration reduced to 10 seconds, and cooldown reduced to 3 minutes. This means each use of Innervate will give half as much mana as before, but it will be available twice as often.
* Lifebloom: The final heal that occurs when this spell blooms has been reduced by 20% on the base and on the spell power coefficient.
* Mangle: Ranks 4 and 5 base points reduced by about 11%. Scaling from attack power unchanged.
* Rake: Ranks 6 and 7 base points on initial and periodic damage reduced by about 7%. Scaling from attack power unchanged.
* Rip: Ranks 8 and 9 base points and points per combo point reduced by about 6%. Scaling from attack power unchanged.
* Savage Defense: The animation for gaining this buff will no longer make the bear stand upright
* Shred: Ranks 8 and 9 base points reduced by about 10%. Scaling from attack power unchanged.
* Swipe (Cat): Percent of weapon damage done reduced from 260% to 250%.
* Travel Form: Can now be learned at level 16.
* Talents
o Balance
+ Balance of Power: Now reduces all spell damage taken by 3/6%, rather than reducing the chance to be hit by spells by 2/4%.
+ Eclipse: The Starfire and Wrath buffs from this talent are now on separate 30 second. cooldowns. In addition, it is not possible to have both buffs active simultaneously.
+ Owlkin Frenzy: Now also restores 2% base mana every 2 seconds for the duration (10 seconds) in addition to its current effects.
o Restoration
+ Empowered Touch: Now also increases the amount of bonus healing effects for Nourish by 10/20%.
+ Improved Barkskin: No longer provides dispel resistance to all effects on the druid, but now reduces the chance your Barkskin is dispelled by an additional 35/70%.

I like the Innervate change.

Sorry Feral druids. I hate to see you guys get nerfed.

Holy sheeeeeeeeeeet Eclipse! This change sounds interesting...but I like it! Activate Lunar Eclipse and once it's on CD try to proc a Solar Eclipse. Spam Wrath until Lunar Eclipse procs again.

This patch is going to be awesome (except for Ferals :( )

Anywho, horse posted this already but I'll post again.

Eclipse change is roxxorz, innervate change is kinda odd but gives it more use, the owlkin frenzy change is gonna make me pick up OF now for ulduar and I'm wondering when the hell with eclipse up all the time I'm gonna refresh dots.

OK GOGO

I have no words to say how much I'm excited about Eclipse change. This will change SO much our rotation...

The feral nerfs were expected, I think. But, as usual, I think Blizzard did too much...we'll have to wait and see.

It looks to only be about a 2% DPS nerf so really it the changes are quite mild.

the feral stuff is pretty mild yeah, mild enough that, as rare mentioned, it could easily be explained as just variation in dps if you didnt know what to look for.

eclipse change is awesome. internal CD = fail, but internal CD with two separate CD's that can't overlap = win. a very good change.

innervate is just mostly a cosmetic thing. same mana gained in the long term, just a bit easier to oom a druid in the short term. keyword being "bit".

I wish when introducing nerfs across multiple skills of one spec they'd simply sum it up as "we're reducing your overall dps by about 2%" because looking at all those feral nerfs made me cry... I sure hope its only 2%...

A fair bit of maths have been done over at ElitistJerks already and it looks like 2% for BiS Uld gear and 3-4% for best pre-Uld gear.

As long as the changes actually go in as they have stated, then the calcs should be accurate.

Good to hear that. Seens my feral friend on my guild should still be topping dps along some mages, dks and me =D

It doesn't really come as a surpirse either. Anyone raiding as feral dps will know that we are way OP at the moment compared to other equally geared dps'ers. I'm nowhere near the best geared in my guild and I constantly sit as top 3 in dps. Not quite right, but not complaining either ;)

I hope the calculations are right and the nerf bat doesn't hit us too hard.

The slight nerf as many have already said just brings us more inline with other DPS besides don't forget we're going to be prettier. :3

Now my question is that usually you pick your idol based on what rotation you use, but now that we will more then likely be able to eclipse back to back what idol to use?

Someone already has done the math with the idols and starfire idol is the winner, but not by a whole hell of a lot. Goes like this.

SF Idol > Wrath Idol > IS Idol

The only reason why the IS idol is last is because its not affected by haste or crit.
