I am finally back with my mage again and the game again for that matter after a 2 year hiatus. I have no idea what i am doing now though sadly. The game has changed so much, and so have the talent trees. I am think about going Deep Frost and then crossing into arcane, think this will be the best for PVE (solo) which is what i like to do primarily. What is a good Spell Rotation for a frost mage??? How should a typical Battle play out? I am currently 65 and questing in Trekkor Forest. What are things i should keep in mind while playing?? Thanks in advance for any help you can give

Rotation for leveling a frost mage hasn't changed much really... Spam frost bolt until the mob gets to you, frost nova and blink or strafe to a safe distance and them spam frost bolt again until the mob is dead. The elemental does help a lot though for the mana, extra attack, and the ranged frost nova... I don't remember if they had it two years ago or not as I didn't hit 50 on my mage until last fall, I too took a two year hiatus, give or take. :-) Although frost has more survivability than the other trees for leveling, you could go arcane now if you wish. Arcane Blast is the spell of choice for arcane mages, and you just got that spell at 64.

Just keep throwing points into frost.

Rotation:

FrostboltxInfinity

Throw in an icelance (66?) if you want to do a shatter combo with it.

Oh yeah, I forgot about ice lance... Let me switch up that rotation once you get ice lance: Frostbolt spam until mob gets to you, Frost nova and blink or strafe away, then spam ice lance until FN breaks or mob is dead. :-) <3 ice lance!

I'm working on a final research paper and not getting much sleep which is why some of my posts today have been a bit retarded and forgetful...
