Howdy guys! ;)
Finally took the courage to post here, after 3 years of just reading..;) Well, im having some issues with my DK.. It might just be me, but i feel like im not using all my potential when it comes to DPS.. Im currently sitting at about 2.5k dps in heroics.. And i`ve seen DK`s in blues do more dps than that..>< Soo, my question is: am i doing something wrong???

My rotation is usually something like this:
Icy touch > Plague Strike > Heart Strike x 2 > Death Strike > Death Coil
Heart Strike x 4 > Death Coil (I think)
I have to admit, i sometimes get abit confused when im dps`ing.. Kinda forgets what runes are on CD etc, so i might sometimes use DS instead of HS..And im sure the Runic power stays at 100 maybe abit longer than it should on a few occasions..>.< Kinda struggling with finding the best rotation on trash mobs as well.. Doing IT > PS > Pest > BB atm, then they are usually dead..><
Also read somewhere that expertise matters when it comes to the mobs dodging/parrying your attack.. Thats why i have put a few expertise gems in there.. Im not "capped" tho, so im wondering if i should gem for some more? Would that "boost" my dps by any significant amount? And yeah, i know i dont need as much hit as i have atm, it has just turned out this way..>.< Dps has been my second priority when it comes to gearing up, so i have kinda just taken what i`ve come across..;)
Sooo.. Any advice? Feel free to comment on spec/gear/glyphs, whatever u think might help me..;) What im basically asking is; is there any way i could do more dps with my current gear? ;)
P.S Im using Rune of the Fallen Crusader when im dps`ing.. Just use the same weapon for tanking atm, and havent switched..O.o

To explain: Expertise reduces the number of dodges and parries a mob will have when you attack it. As long as you're attacking from behind the boss they will not parry but they can dodge. With enough expertise (6.5%) you can remove dodge from the hit table (the system the game uses to determine hits/misses/etc). Doesn't the FAQ cover this or am I crazy?
Onto your toon....
Hit is too high, look to drop some of it (the effective hit cap for raid bosses is 263). Expertise isn't low enough to gem for at all. Shoot for between 21-26.
Sigil is crap, get the Awareness one (now available for badgers).
Spec looks fine.
I'd say, practice. Get your abilities into your mind like a musician gets scales into theirs. The less you have to think about which spell you need to use, the more effective your damage output will be.
Also: Learn to time your Dancing Rune Weapon usage (i.e. use it a lot), pop ghoul at Bloodlust/Heroism, learn to love Hysteria, etc, etc.
Keep reading up as well. You can never learn to much.... I think.

Regarding hitrating, i know it is higher than it needs to be. I just dont have any other alternatives when it comes to gear atm. >< But i`m sure i will get there soon enough. Even have the Grim Toll trinket available if needed. :) Will hopefully pick up some gear with expertise on it down the road as well.
Will definately practice on my rotation. Guess it takes a while before i "master" it.
About popping ghoul at heroism, i have to admit that i never use my ghoul.. :( I have not thought of that at all. I will definately do this from now on. ;)
Will also try to time my DRW and hysteria whenever i can.

I used to do this a lot. Looking at those little circles in the top corner of the screen away from my action bar was difficult. To fix this I got an add on to watch rune CDs. There are a bunch, so you can browse to see if there are any you like. It helped me a lot.

Thought i would give you guys a small update..:)
Got myself a new weapon (Death`s Bite), and have been training alot on rotation. Also gemmed for some more expertise. This has brought my DPS up to about 3k in heroics..:) (Not sure how much of this i have the new weapon to thank for though..)
Anyways, i do have another quick question:
AOE DPS as blood? Do you even bother doing IT > PS > Pest, or do you just do Blood Boil? Or should i focus on doing Heart Strikes, seeing as this hits a nearby mob as well as the one im focusing on? Tried out different things, but i have yet to see which one i should be using.
Was in a group with a DK from a top guild on my server the other day, and he consistantly used DnD on Aoe pulls(he was DPS`ing). I tried to tell him that DnD isn`t any good for AoE DPS(which i thought was right), but he just "LOL`d" me..>.<
Any thoughts on the subject?

AoE as Blood is basically IT/PS/Pest followed by BB in place of HS when there are enough mobs to justify it. For me it was >4.
DnD "can" be used effectively for DPS but is generally considered a waste of resources. You can usually get more total damage out from those three runes doing something else. Situationally useful perhaps, but as a regular part of a DPS cycle, I'm skeptical.

Gem for hit if you're way below cap (ie. below about 245 hit), and gem 2 purples for your meta, but gem the rest for strength. No other gem gives you a stat per dps curve like pure strength for DKs. I've been as low as 13-16 expertise and been perfectly fine.
