Which Weapon for a Combat Rogue?Follow

#1 Jun 09 2009 at 4:01 PM Rating: Decent
Hello
I am a combat rogue, so I need the slowest weapon in my MH and the fastest in my OH, right? Well, I have weapons that have almost similar stats, so I need help to know which ones to choose.

For my MH.
The Hand Of Antu'sul

...and Serpenct Slicer
http://eu.wowarmory.com/item-info.xml?i=13035
-------

For my OH.
Satyr's Lash

...and White Bone Shredder

-------

So yeah, I was just wondering which weapons would be better for a combat rogue.

One more question. Strength and Agility both affect the damage a rogue deals, and Agility affects it more. How many strength points would equal 1 agility point?(Example, +2 strength= +1agility)

Thanks a lot in advance, and much appreciated. :D

Depends on your spec.

I haven't spent any talent points on any weapon specialization. This is why I'm confused. It doesn't matter what type of weapon I use.

It'd be much easier for us to tell you which would be better if you'd just link your armory.

Wrong. Weapon types always matter.

Oh, and why would it matter what type of weapon I use (Mace, sword or dagger) if I dont have any weapon specialization talent?

Wrong approach here. The question is WHY you DON'T have any specialization. Picking one is an essential part of being a combat rogue, and NOT making that choice costs you far more potential than possibly having only a cheap green offhand.

The specialization is far more than a flat out damage increase, though. Those points spent are USEFUL fillers on your way down the tree.

Up until Northrend, you best bet is probably to stick with swords. After that, fists and with that a dagger OH becomes a possibility. I'm making this recommendation based on quests rewards and instance drops you can expect on your way to 80.
